We had an amazing family supper at the Rose and Thistle. A charming country pub, friendly service and great food for adults and children. Cannot recommend this pub enough !!

Difficult to get to but well worth the journey. Excellent roast dinner.
Great, great place. I would thoroughly recommend. Very friendly, attentive service in a beautiful little pub. My favourite for 2020. Good food, all locally sourced. In the winter a wonderful open fire (well 2 open fires one on the restaurant and one in the bar/games area). Such a treat.
After a walk over the fields from Shipwick, we were lucky to get a table in the bar (we had our dog with us) and although we were next to a very noisy group we enjoyed the place. The mushrooms on toast and the ale were very good and the coffee afterwards excellent. The table was snapped up as we left!
