The food is fab here. I had jumbo chicken goujons which were freshly cooked delightfully soft real chicken. The veg was absolutely fresh not frozen. The chips however were not freshly chopped but they were OK..
The steak pie is awesome too
The service is really nice too. The restaurant is very nice inside. If you are in a hurry it may not suit because food is cooked to order. But very comfortable to sit and wait anyway. The price is really good value for money too.

Tried a takeaway from here for first time. It's the best food I have had in a long time. I have never had food in the restaurant but always looks nice inside, I would definitely return for a meal. Delivery was also quick. Portion sizes are very good, It is the best in forfar.

Haven't been in for a number of years due to moving from the area. Extensive and varied menu. One of us had breaded Haddock and the other roast Sirloin of Beef. Both meals had generous portions, and both dishes were delicious and modestly priced. I would thoroughly recommend Chapter and Verse to you.

We arrived late for our booking but staff welcomed us .Food was delicious and could have not been nicer .Looking forward to our next visit.

Food was great. Only about food was the actual serving we had ordered 8 puddings and they came in 3 lots. Everyone was finished but the time the last 2 puddings came.
One staff member wasn't friendly but was efficient- barely cracked a smile. The actual waitress for our table was lovely and friendly and happy to take a photo for us.
Mu hubby is picky with hot chocolates - he had 2 and they were both excellent.

My husband and I ordered curry with nan break, salad and garlic bread. Doesn’t sound like a ton of food for 2 people, but we had to box half of it up! Large portions and amazing food. Thankful we have another evening to enjoy the food!

I had the vegetable curry with Nan bread. They have several currys to choose from, and the one I had was excellent and had just the right amount of spice. The nan bread was great too. I highly recommend dinner here when in or passing through Forfar

9/10 dishes are spot on. Plenty of choice on food and drinks. Also fab for a take away, nice to have more home style as a delivery.
