Lovely place by the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Busy walk locals, walkers and canal goers.
Friendly staff and very local in outlook. The staff very friendly and polite and a service a little slow, but I think that’s part of the relaxed charm.
The coffee was fine, the pastries (almond tart and red velvet cheesecake were delicious). The chips, beans and cheese an onion pie filling. Would recommend.
Great for a walk first on the canal very scenic with wildlife then into the wharf for a treat.

Lovely food, reasonably priced,not a massive menu but plenty with specials, beautiful location very relaxing.
Ate here yesterday with a friend. We both had homemade cheese and onion pie with beans and chips - fantastic. View right next to the canal was so impressive too. Highly recommended and dog friendly too.
I've been passing here for ages and thanks to my niece I finally got to visit.
We went on a Sunday, and even though the weather wasn't brilliant it was still very busy, inside and outside.
Service was very pleasant given how busy they were, only a short wait to place our order but the food arrived in good time.
It's a lovely location with plenty of history. Whilst they have a large car park it can get a bit packed on nicer days, people use it as a start point for canal side walks.
The food we had was good but my niece was a bit disappointed by the very small selection of sweets. A small but varied selection of bottled real ales was a pleasant surprise.
Dogs welcome. High chairs available for small children.

Totally superb service and food .Went with a party of 8 and couldn't do enough for us .The Tuna melt with salad and chips was fantastic,the best one I've ever had.
Recently had a baby shower for a relative and can’t praise this place enough. Room was gorgeous, staff were amazing and so helpful. Food and service was excellent, providing a lot of different options for vegetarian and meat on the cold buffet, and even a gluten free option for one of the customers. Highly recommended this place for an event, would definitely book here again.
Excellent breakfast, the small one was plenty! Nicely decorated and a good view of the canal.
Great cafe in a fantastic location. Friendly staff serving great food and drinks. Here they serve a good selection in a friendly environment and great views! The staff are happy to help with orders and drinks etc. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
