Very Nice Haddock and chips. Both the curry sauce and mushy peas some of the best we have tasted. Not the largest of portions or cheapest but still very reasonable....and with so many costs escalating would not mark an establishment down on that in current climate. Would definitely recommend unless perhaps you are someone in the quantity rather than quality camp.

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. Generous portions, golden crispy batter, perfect chips. Only fish and chips better than this is in Whitby, if you fancy the trip!

A really good place for fish and chips. The shop provides an area with two small tables where you can sit and dine. I sometimes do so. On this occasion I took the take-away option. The take away is served in a fold-out cardboard box, that’s better and easier to manage. Perfect chips every time; fresh cooking oil and good quality potato is used. The cod is always in a light batter . The portions are huge . I like the fact that they have a big fridge of soft drinks inside the shop and the soft drinks are ice-cold, I always order a can of Diet Coke or 7-up to wash down the meal. Very reasonably priced too. The staff are very friendly and once they know you, very generous on the chip portions for you . It’s a firm favourite and ( always busy). The food is always cooked to order and not left standing, so it’s hot when served.
