Just had our Diamond Wedding party here, The food was excellent & the service was fine seeing only one chef in the kitchen, he neads a medal. Great all around.

The landlady, Faith is very welcoming and certainly makes everyone feel at home. Matthew, the chef is very talented on producing very wholesome and nourishing food which provides great food reasonably priced and very generous portions.

Very friendly and welcoming with plenty of ales and ciders to choose from. Food was lovely and piping hot which was in keeping with good home made fare. Unfortunately we were too late to get the Steak and Ale Pie, as the last portion went to the couple on the next table. Our landlady was apologetic and very attentive, highlighting the fact that everything is fresh and not frozen. So a word if advice is to get there early. When it's gone, it's gone.
if only we had been here at the weekend! The roasts look delicious but are Saturday and Sunday only, so we will have to stop by the next time we are over this way

Great Sunday roast beef. Ordered a medium and glad I didn't order a large, plenty on the plate and hot, great Yorkshire and came with jug of gravy.

Just left the new inn after a 4 meal Sunday roast. What a roast fantastic meal and flavours. Piping hot, great service. Would definitely recommend.

Precious little gem in North Devon - They’re a family run pub & the staff are more than welcoming. Extremely friendly and always service with a smile, not to mention the food is top notch grub! Deffo not one to miss if you like a warm cosy pub. Thank you guys for always always making us feel so welcome! :)

Popped in for a roast dinner and we were certainly not disappointed. A lovely, tasty slow roast belly pork with all the trimmings at an excellent price went down very well. The local beer was very good and the staff so friendly. A good honest pub with great food and service.

Great food, good choice of drinks. Very smart decor, live music most weekends. Nice little patio with a covered smoking area if required. Landlady is one in a million (great sense of humour) love it here.
