Delicious tea and cakes at this tea room which has an extensive breakfast, brunch and lunch menu as well as classic English tea. Perfect for this like us just finishing a hike along Tennysons ridge, on southwest coast of Isle of Wight. Lovely staff, loads of tables inside and out. Museum next door looks super interesting but we didn’t have time.
We stopped here during a cycle ride around the island and it was such a friendly and welcoming tea room. The food was fresh and tasty and the coffee was great. A very nice selection of baked goods too! Highly recommended, well worth a visit.

Lovely setting really old worldy, really chilled vibes
The order came out in 2 parts which wasn't very well thought through..this was because the kitchen do the Dimbola special which is the savoury scone and the cafe do the sweet side. Needs to coordinate really... very nice staff tho so we forgave them
They could do with providing more cream and jam if you double up the scones as this would of made it a winner

We like this pretty little tea room, just up from Freshwater bay. I always get the impression that the staff are winging it a bit as if they haven't been doing it for long, but they are all friendly and it sort of adds to the charm, and the cakes and sandwiches etc are good.
There is the photographic museum next door, which changes theme regularly. They have live music in the tea room now and then. Bit of a squeeze, but good fun.
We stopped for breakfast, food was delicious and a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go back for cakes but they looked lovely! Would definitely recommend.
Loved this place. A warm and smiling welcome to all of us (dog included) on a wet and windy day. So very much appreciated after being turned away from 2 ('dog friendly') cafes as not happy to sit outside. Cozy, lovely food and nice to relax over cakes and coffee. Great job all.
This tea room is attached to the Dimbola museum. Very good baguettes and cakes, and surprisingly good coffee. A great place to grab some refreshment after the museum. It's also at the start of a beautiful walk up the hill to the Tennyson monument, so you can burn off some calories to justify the cake afterwards.
One of the finest scone I ever had, amazing food, value for money, great staff. Place must visit for afternoon tea or breakfast if you are in Isle of Wight
Very good and quick service. Food is excellent. Problem with wasps on the 2 days we had lunch here. Decor could do with being freshened up to match the quality of the service and food. Have returned several times. Will come again when in area.
Good wholesome food at sensible prices. Plus interesting photographic themed displays. Pioneering photography in its infancy.
