Having not long moved to the area, we’ve been looking for a friendly local. We dropped in tonight passing through Frome, and stumbled on this gem. The landlord, Blair, and his team couldn’t have been more welcoming, and the other punters made for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Beer was top notch too - we’ll be back!

Popped in for a quick drink whilst exploring our new home town. Pleasantly old-fashioned pub with a welcoming atmosphere.
I loved it, not solely because I was able to put my 80's hip hop knowledge to good use in the pop quiz (winning, ahem, team 😝), but because of the Butcombe beer, the uber-cool clientele 😉, interesting decor, the relaxed and friendly staff, the horse trough urinal....ohh, the-what-now??😭🐴💦😅 …
Lovely old pub. Look at the men's urinal! Proper old school.
Not sure about all the stuffed animals. Taxidermists would love it. We only had drinks here but felt really cosy. Friendly service.
