The Cross Keys

We called at 13.20 on Sunday in the hope to get a table for 8. Clive was really helpful and found us space! We arrived at 3pm and the atmosphere was great. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing! I would highly recommend this pub. It also has a lovely beer garden and it is also dog friendly. 🐕

Booked for a meal with friends who live close by, as we have a dog we were only allowed in the bar or outside which was perfectly acceptable and as it was raining we obviously opted for the bar.. When we arrived the two tables available were rather small for the 4 of us and the dog, but we were allowed to sit on a larger table in the restaurant, which was much appreciated. After ordering our meals, they arrived extremely quickly, most impressive! The meals themselves were well presented and very tasty. All in all, an excellent experience that exceeded expectations. Very grateful to the lady behind the bar who allowed us to move to a bigger table in the actual restaurant, which was very kind of her.

The lovely atmosphere encourages us to return regularly for lunch after a walk in the Somerset or Dorset area during the morning. Good, freshly cooked food to enjoy, is the real reason. A choice of two beers, on pump, is the choice for those who still enjoy a craft beer. A good range of lagers are there to enjoy.

Wonderful place. The room was lovely. Quirky in a good way. Very clean. Bathroom was lovely and warm. Good shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal in the pub, again a warm, welcoming place. We met my best friend from school who I’ve not seen for years, and her partner and it made it an even better evening being in such a great place. Would definitely come again. Please could you start doing breakfast tho. This would make it perfect. Thank you.

Perfect Roast dinner and we are fussy. Large portions. Meat actually tasted as it should. Thank you so much. Also dog friendly. Staff friendly, lovely local welcoming pub. Visited on route to dropping son off at UWE, having been to Lilly's cider company 5 mins away. Certainly stands up to a 5 star review for Sunday roast. Would love to come back Xx
