Do not sleep on this place, it’s the best restaurant in gatehouse. They have this burger night they do on Fridays legit I wish they had it going daily because it SLAPS. All of their food is incredible I cannot wait to show my friends and family but I HIGHLY recommend this place They have very kind staff and also great coffee
Had a lovely lunch today. Didn’t catch our waitresses name but she was a credit to the business. Very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us and our kids. Food was really nice and service was so quick, when eating with kids this is really appreciated. The kids toy selection was a nice touch and kept them occupied while we ate. Was so enjoyable we booked to come back on Friday to try their burger night!
Came in for lunch today after a walk around the town and nature walk. Had the tomato and bacon broth with bread was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back in before we finish our holidays in the area. Would love to have the recipe so hubby can have over the winter. Great cafe 5 ****
Wonderful bakery. Delicious espresso drinks, scones, quiche, soups. Cute shop, great cards. Excellent breakfast and lunch spot. Terrific service, we loved coming in most of the 5 days we were in your charming Gatehouse of Fleet for a cycling tour. Well done! Thank you.

We visited Gala weekend stumbled upon it on our way back from the Rhins and the weather was great. The cafe its self has the option to eat inside/outside or to takeaway great menue full of fresh home-madefood and cakes. The lady who served us was the coffee shop manager and was really friendly and helpful. In the takeout section of the cafe you can burly preserves that are made by the lodge themselves. You can also but treats and gifts too. Parking is located just over the road and a spar shop is located underneath. It was our first visit to the area and most definitely wont be our last. 100% worth a visit. We would stay within the village next time for a day or two.
We all had very tasty mushroom soup with lovely soft bread. The tea came in a nice big pot with a good sized jug of milk, so plenty of cups of tea too.
The cakes all looked delicious, but we were just too full to have some!
