Popped on here on a whim. Popular place and nice staff. I'd say only the parking is an issue. But next time we plan to park further along the Tyne and walk along.

The quiet riverside cafe!!!! Be careful it will close a bit early. But the atmosphere was so nice and calm:) it's also dog friendly and you can find a gift of Newcasle there as well.

Cute little cafe. I’d never been before but the staff were so friendly and polite. It was not long after it had opened but was already busy so that shows how nice it is. There’s not loads of seating but there is an upstairs. Parking wasn’t too bad either. Food was lovely and reasonably priced too and it’s nice that it’s dog friendly.

Incredible little cafe, tucked away next to the Dunston Staithes. Lovely coffee, food and sweet treats galore (try the Cornflake Cake!)

I called in with a friend after her waxing lyrical for quite a while about it.
I felt food was a little expensive. Service, especially for payments was a bit chaotic. Card machine was not working for some of the time and staff, although they were all polite, helpful were in each others way.
Pleased to see vegan and gluten free options.
I did enjoy my breakfast very much and as I say staff were very pleasant.
Parking was a nightmare.

Dog friendly and great view, what more can u ask for ❤️ The only tiny downside here is the parking, especially on the weekends. So try to avoid peak hours if u can.

Beautiful views next to the water, clean environment, friendly down to earth staff, breakfast food is unreal and of great quality, haven’t had a chance to try their other food but looks just as good, also reasonably priced and one of my absolute favourite cafes, will deffo keep coming back!

My family and I had lunch here on a Saturday. We were all impressed with the location, view , cleanliness and service.
We had a reasonable wait and all food arrived together. The hot food was unquestionably flavoursome and far better than the salads.
The Greek salad seemed that in name only. Adding feta and sliced olives to a bag of leafy greens was a long way short of the missing cucumber, tomatoes, onion, oregano and olive oil. Calling it a feta salad like your mozzarella and sundried tomato would be a safer bet.
My opinion of the coffee blend left me satisfied yet not impressed.
Overall a pleasant lunch was had and the ambiance of the surroundings made for a memorable outing.
