Been going to the Skiff Inn now for years every time we are in the Gateshead area, staff are always great and food is fabulous, never had a bad meal, place is always busy so it's a good recommendation can't ask for better than that, fantastic menu and everything cooked fresh, so much better than the frozen microwave stuff some restaurants class as food, I would rather wait a bit longer on my food being cooked properly than hear the microwave ping. See you next time.
Have ate at the Skiff several times. We've never had a bad word to say about the place. The food is excellent value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Food was amazing, was not expecting it to be as good as it was. 100% come here again. Staff were very friendly, dogs are allowed outside only and will be provided dog bowls.
We went there just recently for a pub meal. It was really nice good portions and the food was cooked nicely. Steak was very good and loads to choose from . But on second visit it wasn't as good cold dry chips and we were seated in the conservatory which was so noisy i was pleased to get out so mixed review now . Staff are lovely

Amazing visit today! My dad wanted to visit with it being his birthday. We booked in advance and the table was perfect. The staff were attentive, friendly and funny, and the food was beautiful! It arrived maybe 10 minutes after ordering, piping hot and delicious. As a veggie, trying to find a good Sunday roast can be tricky, but it was beautiful (I had the nut roast), although looking at the beef on everyone else’s plates, I could have been tempted! Great prices and great atmosphere! Do not overlook!!!
Often pop in for food always really nice and service spot on. I had the corned beef pie and gutted I didn't take a photo because nobody will believe the size of it. The young man who served us was lovely. It was really nice to see a young person smiling and engaging with his customers, well done young man, keep it up.
Absolutely amazing through out. Excellent food. Staff polite and friendly. Would recommend The Skiff Inn. 100% Enjoyed every minute of it celebrating my son and daughter in laws wedding Anniversary. 😍
We went here to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary and we had a great time, the food was exceptional and the servers would go above and beyond for you with no questions asked. The portion sizes are amazing.
Great local pub, which can get pretty busy, popped in for drinks a few times, good beer and service. The nice gentleman I think was called Papa Joe was great. The food looked good, so we tried it and it was awesome, the chicken Parmigiana was good value and a very large portion.
