The Engine Room

Only draw back was the slippy tiles in both the toilets.it had notices on doors saying this, but a notice on a door does not cure a dangerous surface. I am able-bodied and slipped on it. The floor was not wet. The staff were very forgetful and had to ask them twice about serving our drinks. I wouldn't be put going but look out for the dangerous tiles in the loos Yours Martin

Unreal food here, every time. We order so often staff have started to call us “garlic man” 🤣. Our favourite is the minted lamb baguette served with hand cut chips which the restaurant serves every Sunday. Unreal food, hearty portion and so tasty, it has you coming back repeatedly… for the garlic too! 🤣

Booked to celebrate my grandsons birthday (at short notice) meal was absolutely delicious, well cooked and well presented… good variety to choose from…. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal (6 of us) … waiting time was minimal and the service from staff was excellent … definitely recommend the engine room ….

Gorgeous Sunday lunch here. Nice welcome. Nicely refurbished, very impressed. Ladies toilets clean and modernised to an elegant design. Food very good. Have had the steak baguette in the past several times, which is such a treat and wd also recommend. On this occasion, we had the roast beef Sunday lunch £13.95, very tender beef and with a big Yorkshire pudding, lots of vegetables and sauces and an extra gravy jug offered to us. Service was good, didn't wait very long. Nice friendly staff. Families and couples alike, all ages. Also people enjoyed the sunshine with a drink outside too, although it's a car park, there's a nice decking area. I have to add .. superb sticky toffee pudding, melt in your mouth kind and not a shy portion. Yum 😋 xxx will be back soon for sure.
