I enjoy the Gold Medal very much, but I just don't understand why the decked area at the rear of the pub closes at 9 p.m. We were sitting enjoying a drink on a lovely summer's night and we had to move indoors at 9 p.m.

The Denton is my favourite place to eat, the staff are great & the food is excellent. I recommend the battered sea bass!!!

We were well served with decent pub food. The place was clean, good views out the large windows and well visited by locals. Will probably come again...

The food was good value and Shannon was really helpful and asked if we wanted anything else when we finished our meal. The staff also ensured our dog had some water. Good value and the staff informed that there was a wait on food.

Great pub and great service. Staff efficient and very friendly. Good menu at super prices. Went on Thursday and was surprised that the menu had special cut prices: almost two meals for the price of one! Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Popped in for lunch today … food was excellent as per usual .. not too busy so good atmosphere… table service was excellent .. server and bar staff were friendly and efficient.. not too long a wait for food (even though it was sweltering and we were pre-warned there may be a delay due to kitchens being so hot) well done to chef and helpers..

Back again. Service , food and price all great. On this occasion I had a meal which had something on I could not eat. Chef made my whole meal from scratch and it was no bother to him. Great staff. RIm a regular here when I'm passing.

Great breakfast at the Gold Medal, first time we came for a breakfast. Nice and clean, quick and friendly service from Dan who served us and great value as well!

Lovely breakfast at the hungry horse today. A warm welcome, food was plentiful, clean and tasty. Excellent value for money, and they take Tesco vouchers too if you want even more of a bargain! Building not fancy from the outside, but clean and well decorated inside. Would recommend.
