This is a great pub! There is a very good selection of drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, plenty of space and seats, with an open area and some comfy booths. It's a must-visit if you're heading to Low Fell.

Absolutely love the feel, been a while since I've been in but sometimes change is better, can't wait to go back and experience the rum shack, high recommend for midweek drinks and especially the Tuesday for quiz night, it is literally next level!
Really pleased with our visit to the Gateshead Arms.
Bar was nice and warm, good atmosphere and a great choice of drinks at a very reasonable price.

Good place to watch the football beer always spot on staff helpfull
We recently had my father's after-funeral reception here and every effort was made to make the day special. The manager arranged for a photograph slide show of pictures of our Dad to be shown on a TV in the area where we were sitting. Food was excellent, all of the staff were helpful and sympathetic
Good atmosphere on a Saturday night
Very good service from bar staff. Excellent pint of Coors Light £3.20 a pint also some nibbles on the bar including pork pie sausage rolls and crisps. Toilets are immaculate. Shame about the football. But plenty of screens to watch the game.
Short notice of a coach full of Villa faithful turned up and on her own the lady behind the bar was brilliant
The lass behind the bar should get a pay rise. Kept her calm when our coach turned up.
Opened at 3pm. You go in stand and sign in. You sit at a table. Job done. Beer has gone up which is expected. The tables, the toilets and bar are clean. The outside area is also clean. Comfortable place but I was there in the afternoon. Hand sanitizer plenty.
Our local been coming for years. Like the new decor but miss the DJ.
Just popped in whilst waiting for the bus, it has changed quite a bit since last time I was in, it used to be lively and jumping but very quiet last night, although the music was decent and the decor is good and prices for drinks for being on the Fell was very reasonable so will definitely be back

Popped in for a coffee to this place while waiting for a bus to my hotel. It was very handy as the bus stop was right outside the door and the staff member working was very friendly and professional all at the same time. Will call back on my next visit.
Nice clean pub good pint friendly staff only downfall no hot food, plenty bar snacks to choose from though worth a visit
