Curry Garden

My partner and I are huge fans of this delightful takeaway. We've tried a number of dishes from their menu and each has been consistently packed with rich flavours while orders have arrived both quickly and hot. We've recently moved further afield but on occasion still make the drive for collection given the standard of food we've received in the past.

Order well in advance. It’s a standard quality Indian restaurant with lots of good deals. The people seem quite friendly. The menu is vast and the curries are quite tasty. The naan breads are fresh, so it’s impressive they keep the prices so reasonable. Delivery is very slow, so make sure you order an hour and a bit in advance and chase them up if there is still no signs. The kebab boxes aren’t particularly notable as there isn’t enough meat and the chips are the wedge type chunks you usually get from an Indian. But at £7.95 including a naan and salad it’s good enough and will fill a hole.

I ordered via FoodHub and received delivery on time. The delivery driver was very friendly and eager that I left a review whether good or bad. I'm pleased to say that everything was delicious! Portions were good and I'll be most happy to order again. I ordered two 'Garden Special 3' meals which each came with a good choice of options from the menu. The starters of onion bhaji and special kebab were good, although the bhaji went quite dry as it cooled. Their butter chicken is excellent, with a delicious sauce. The Lahori lamb was very tasty and not too spicy. The lamb was slightly tough, but because it was sliced thinly, it was still an exceptionally enjoyable dish. We also enjoyed the side dishes of Bombay aloo and saag aloo. Sometimes these dishes can be oily or wet, but these were just right. We had a peshwari naan each with the meal which was nice and fresh, although would have benefitted from a little more sweet paste in the filling. Both meals came with papadoms, so I was a little surprised that we received a total of 3... but with no pickles. The minor niggles with the meal were not enough to reduce this review from 5 stars and the highlights were so good that I'm looking forward to my next delivery from them!

Had a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived on time, hot and well packaged. The tandoori chicken wings were great 😁 the chicken tikka starter was delicious. The pokora chicken.. not to my taste! Seemed like it had some sort of chinese/indian batter on it? Daal soup was nice, could do with more salt in it. The mixed meat pilau rice was delicious, kinda like a chinese special fried rice but an indian version, defo a must try if you havent had one before. As for my main dish, lamb tikka bhuna with garlic nan, fantastic, proper authentic cooking.. magic!

We ordered the £13.95 garden box last night. It was the first time we had ordered from here having been disappointed with our usual place recently. We were really impressed with the food. It arrived earlier than expected and was hot and fresh. There was loads of meat and it was lovely and tender and very tasty. The chips were chunky and seemed homemade, if they were frozen they were very good. The mild, aromatic chicken curry that comes in the box is delicious and the nan bread was soft, fresh and had just the right amount of charring around the edges. There was lots of food and fed two adults and there are some leftovers for today. Very good value for money. We will definitely use again.
