Having popped into the Rock Inn a few times for a pint and even just to sample the deserts, which I have to say are amazing and worth every penny of the £7.50, we decided to have a meal here, and we are so very glad we did.
Buffalo Cauliflower wings were very tasty with the sriracha mayo, great starter. I'd spotted the Rock Inn Fish Pie on the menu earlier in the week and was salivating at the thought, I checked with the staff to see if it was any good, they said it was one of their most popular dishes - I can now testify that it is truly amazing and gorgeous: lovely cheesy mash on top of creamy haddock, salmon and prawn. It is no wonder they serve it with a chunk of bread as you'll want to eat up every last morsel, it is one of those dishes you never want to end.
My wife had the burger which was expertly cooked and chips that were lovely and crispy.
Our bellies were very happy, thank goodness we'd popped in earlier in the week to try their deserts, I don't think we could manage another thing.
So amazing that one village has two excellent pubs, I'd be hard pushed to tell you which was my favourite!
