As an out of towner this store was pretty good I managed to get what I needed, my only complaint from my short visit was the carpark entrance is very narrow (we had a motorhome) we had to park on the road with my partner staying in the vehicle.

Probably the smartest supermarket in north Dorset. It's popular for it's quality and it's cafe. Standard Waitrose price structures to pay for that smartness and quality. Amazing alcohol selection. I went in for a good bottle of wine for a dinner party and frankly spent half an hour trying to chos. Chose Rhubard Gin in the end.

Seems to have a little bit more of a selection than most Waitrose supermarkets! Cool selections of local goods scattered about and mostly overall, not bad prices. I've always been warned away from Waitrose but honestly it's not as bad as you'd imagine at all.
The food is really good, stays fresh for way longer than most supermarkets and seeks to be higher quality. Really reccomend.

Staff were helpful and cheery, very busy but lovely lady on the fish counter was super and reminded me about the 20%off on Fridays.
Very short queues for the tills, they were all open and fast..

I didn't buy anything in the main supermarket but stopped in the cafe today with some colleagues to grab a quick lunch ahead of a business meeting at a local company and have to say, the staff in the cafe were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming and clearly knew all of their regular customers, what their usual orders were etc and generally went the extra mile to provide excellent customer service to all, which was a pleasure to see.

A big improvement.
Smaller range: no hot meals but this means more space, new tables and chairs plus the introduction of some rather nice booths nect to windows.
Outside seating
Wheelchair accessible
coffee is good.

This is a great store, we recently visited and with us we had our new puppy. I sat outside with the puppy while my wife shopped inside. Whilst waiting a member of staff came out to me and said the staff loved the puppy and presented me with a free bag of dog treats. Now that is customer care at its best. Thanks Waitrose Gillingham Dorset.

I just like shopping here. They have a wide range of pricey, but top quality items. I am a great believer in you get what you're willing to pay for. Staff are lovely and helpful, goods well laid out, things easy to find. Oh I don't eat kippers but husband says their to die for.

Just like to tell everyone that I've worked as a steward for this Waitrose for a couple of weeks now the staff are lovely and make sure your okay. Fantastic people to work alongside. Great store also lots of items and lots of help from the partners. Respectful I will be shopping here lots more now!
