Brunston Castle

I played Brunston on Monday 6th June 2016. We arrived to a warm welcome from Maureen in the pro shop. she had us organised with our buggy in jig time. The course was in fantastic condition, fairways manicured, first cut of rough made it easier to find your ball if you strayed off the fairways (which I did often) and the greens were very receptive and a great speed for putting on. There's a few of new tees at 6,13 and 15 which makes tee shot easier to follow. I can't wait for my next visit!

Recently moved to Dailly & was welcomed by a great crowd here, to a superb course, in truly magnificent scenery & was made to feel right at home. Anyone visiting from a club with 500 - 750 members will appreciate the fact that this is a "hidden jewel", with only about 170 odd (in the nicest possible way!!) members & it is akin to playing on your own private course!!!!!! A five star course with a five star welcome by the staff, members, bar, restaurant (though the water hazards are there to catch you out, when you have been lulled into a false sense of security)!!!!!!

Today the 9th April 2015, myself and a friend travelled from Greenock to the brunston castle golf club, the drive was around 1.5 hours and very scenic so it was pleasant. On arrival at 9.00am the course was dead. As the course has its own driving range we hit 100 balls there for £5. This was a very reasonable price and set us up nicely for the round ahead. We hired a buggy for £25 which was ideal. The course was in great condition, great fairways, difficult roughs, well kept sand and fast greens. The sand and water hazards keep you on your toes. We ate at the clubhouse afterwards and got a great meal and drinks for a fantastic price. I would absolutely recommend the course and look forward to returning.
