Went on a Tuesday night and was rightly entertained by a meeting of The Glasgow Fiddlers (I think!) - half the pub was filled with fiddlers, guitarists, banjo, various guitar-like instruments and an accordionist. Great accompaniment to a couple of pints of Guinness - was brilliant...

Terrific. One of several great pubs in this area. Very quiet when we popped in but I've had some fantastic fun times here.

Grew up in Glasgow but now live in California. Whenever I come home i like to experience the real Glasgow and The Islay does the joib. Highly recommended!

It's a lovely Bar in the West end..family connections too as Atlantic Reel play there, although I've yet to see a band I havn't liked! Always a friendly atmosphere, great Craic, music..and the food is'nt half bad either!😊🏴🎵🇮🇪🍺😎🎵

Brilliant friendly atmosphere with friendly local bar service. I always enjoy myself at this bar. Live music was excellent and had my partner up dancing.

Idk where people have eaten or what they were expecting but the food was better than average and everything was pretty well done. I had the special which was a Shepard's pie. The toffee desert was wonderful. My daughter didn't care for much but she's beyond picky. The waitress was wonderful.

Order food and drink at the bar. I'm always happy when I can get a Strongbow and some Laphroaig. I went with the Haggis Nattie and Tattie along with the chili nachos. If you're from out of town food is done serving around 8, but you can still get drinks. Staff was very busy but extremely attentive to everyone's needs. The live band was great and added a wonderful charm to the bar with a mixture of some local and modern songs (ranging from Moody Blues to Staind). The portion sizes were good and I shared the nachos with my friends. I was full so I couldn't do dessert, but they did come around the tables to see if anyone wanted anything before they closed up the food for the night.

A relaxing haven with gracious hospitality in a comfortable environment. Our hostess/bartender Rachel was just the best. With less than 1 week in Glasgow, we had to go back and enjoy it a second time today.
