The Piper Bar

We sat next to the fake fireplace and it was really cozy and warm. The food was correct, not great. However our experience was very positive thanks to our waiter Leon: he was incredibly kind and helpful by switching us table for a more sturdy one, and matching our needs. It really contributed a lot for us to have a great night!

We had such an amazing meal at The Piper Bar! We were visiting from Niagara, Canada and looking for an authentic pub experience and found it here right off George Square. The serving staff were all very friendly and lovely and this was our favourite meal of the trip. Most of us had the steak & ale pies with chips, one had the haggis, neeps & tatties, and one had the mac & cheese. All delicious and we continue to rave about it to everyone.

The Piper was a neat place to go to for our firstnight in Glasgow. The bartender selected a nice whiskey to try and gave us menu suggestions. We had the fish and chips. The fish was delicious but the coating was a bit soggy on the bottom. We also had the Girder Burger. The flavor was outstanding but beware Americans, the meat is a little tough compared to our burgers. We would definitely recommend this establishment.

First visit to The Piper and a bit daunting. I called in yesterday to find out more about the band etc. The lovely guy who took my call was absolutely nice, filled me in with great details of the band and the singer etc . He booked a lovely table No.16 for me. I was very happy with the table. Such a lovely thoughtful guy. Thank you to Mr Lovely guy. The singer sung lovely songs. Thank you!! I stayed on for an hour and half I enjoyed every minute of it. Such a lovely clean pub with an amazing friendly staff. I'm not a drinker. I had a glass of cranberry juice and a bowl of skinny chips. It was a lot in a medium sized basket. It was freshly fried that was what I like about it. Thanks. I would definitely come back with a friend next time.
