We tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We ordered a takeaway meal for collection about an hour later. It was ready and waiting for us - all items were correct, the staff were great, the food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. Would highly recommend.
I am not a fan of Indian food but this place is an exception. It's the best place to introduce friends to Indian cuisine in Glasgow. They put in a lot of effort into creating the ambience of a modern Indian restaurant that delivers both taste and service. The server was exceptionally well spoken unlike in most other Indian joints I visited in UK. The food was tasty and my friends loved it. A great place also for people who miss Indian food in UK. They also have a luck buffet everyday for students. I certainly recommend it to one and all.
We had a takeaway from here- brilliant value because it was buy one get one free on curries! Both were lovely as was the naan- will definately be back x
Smashing!. I visited Masala Twist on Sunday early afternoon. The service was warm, friendly and attentive. Immediately myself and my three dining partners had a nice feeling from the place.
The food was gorgeous. A nice range of starters; in particular the chicken on the bone in a spiced tomato-based curry sauce was delicious!
The mains were just as good, if not better. There were six different curry dishes; the chicken chasni being the stand out dish for me. Sumptuous!
I've been for many, many Indian meals over the years, and this is definitely in the top 3 of all time!
The amazing food, coupled with cracking service, and the fact four of us ate (and drank!) for just over forty pound is fantastic. I will go back, and the sooner the better!
Stumbled across this restaurant whilst having a stroll on Byres road.
Amazing lunch menu and we were stuffed and satisfied.
Korma was delicious and so was the Tikka.
Chicken pakora was so yummy, and the tamarind dip was so good that you could’ve had it as a soup.
We enjoyed some street food and snacks. Hit the spot! Great service and a wonderful atmosphere inside.
Following our visit to the magnificent University of Glasgow, my companion and I sought a lunch spot and discovered Bantawala by Masala Twist. Our culinary selections included samosa chaat, masala banta (featuring kokum and masala lemon flavors), gol gappe, and chhole bhature. As aficionados of Delhi street food, we were elated to discover that this establishment fulfilled our insatiable cravings. The food was delectable, and we were surprised to uncover such a gem in the UK. The restaurant staff were exemplary, exhibiting exceptional service skills and a thorough understanding of our palates, resulting in an experience to be cherished. We extend our gratitude to the staff and the restaurant for a delightful experience.
Excellent food and great service! This has to be the best Indian restaurant in Glasgow. The staff are extremely professional and take good care of you. The restaurant has great ambience and atmosphere. All the food from starters to desserts were well made, portion sizes were generous unlike other upscale places and tasted amazing.Overall 10/10!.

Decided to go for a ruby in Glasgow yesterday and I'm so glad I picked this place to eat - food was perfectly cooked and fresh and you can see from the photo attached that (short of licking the plate) efforts were made to ingest every last item of food laid before me. Decided to go for a more authentic Indian dish this time - Malai Kofta (which I enjoyed in various places I visited in India circa 20 years ago) and this was every bit as mouthwatering - pilau rice too and one of the most perfectly cooked naans I've ever had
While I was sitting another customer got served a Masala Dosa which I also used to eat in India and it also looked pretty authentic and well prepared
The staff were also really nice as they almost always are and I always enjoy talking to them about India and stuff - this time was unusual though as the waiting staff were all female and I'm struggling to recall ever being served by a female waitress in an Indian restaurant - not even in India ?

The best Indian food I had after coming to the UK. The atmosphere feels so Desi with all the doodles on the walls and Bollywood music. The staff is also nice and friendly.
I have been to several Indian restaurants within the UK and this is the best.
If you are in Glasgow, better not to miss.
Stopped by and got the lunch special. The naan in particular was really soft and delicious, would recommend!
Ate here last night with family using the pre theatre menu, 2 courses for £13.99.
We tried veg and haggis pakora and vada pav. Everything was really fresh and tasty.
For mains I had the dahl mahkani, and the others had south Indian garlic chicken and tikka masala. The curries were fresh and really tasty. We upgraded to a garlic naan and it was brilliant.
Service was really friendly and efficient. We had a lovely family meal, thank you!
We are so delighted with the food and service we got at Bantawala restaurant. We were here for three days and we came to have our dinner all the evenings.I would highly recommend to try their masala tea (best Indian tea). Dylan thank you for making our trip more special with excellent taste of India. We will definitely visit again once come back to Glasgow 😊

Brilliant visit.
The food was amazing value and quality.
The naan bread was probably the freshest and best I've ever tasted.
Also the staff were absolutely fantastic, I can't remember the guys name however we had a really nice chat and I felt really welcome and comfortable.
