We enjoyed coming here for a meal after meeting up with friends and wandering around the West End. We all had different food, it looked great. There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we didn't feel rushed to leave. We'll definitely be back!

To complete my little trilogy of Gibson Street reviews, which comprised Offshore and Artisan Roast in the first two instalments, we paid Left Bank a lunchtime visit. I was joined by regular quester Tim and first time guest Gavin. We found the please quite busy when we arrived, but we had a choice of seats across the smart split-level premises. We took a table on the ground floor and contemplated the menus.

Had a Sunday afternoon recovery brunch here and the food was excellent. A really interesting brunch menu and well cooked. The only downside was it was really quite busy, which consequently meant service was a bit on the slow side.

Best ever!. This is my number one eatery right now. I have been for lunch and dinner many times and just this morning went for breakfast!!! For lunches I have tried the chickpea dhal to start and the superfood salad. I have also sampled the fresh home made soup, chicken wrap which was fabby and of course The Left Bank Burger which I must add is superb and cooked to perfection. For breakfast I had the Eggs Mornay although usually I would opt for benedict. Oh My what flavour! This has got to be one of the most delicious breakfasts I have ever had! My papa had a ciabatta with bacon which was also splendid!

Love love love. Breakfast is amazing, especially the bloody marys. Chips are the best I have ever had. Been loads of times and think it's one of the best restaurants in Glasgow. Two figs is owned by the same people and one to try if you like the left bank.

All round good time.. I've went to the Left Bank for breakfast, lunch and dinner (not in the same day, sadly) and never been disappointed. Hearty burgers, curries, tapas, probably the best chips to be found in a restauraunt and a hearty breakfast menu, including the tastiest bacon I've ever had. Portions, especially at breakfast, are ample.

The full on Bank’s Breakfast is usually my choice and includes, poached egg (always perfectly cooked), sausage, bacon, homemade beans (oh yes, very tasty), mushrooms, grilled tomato and toast. I usually swap the mushrooms for a wee tattie scone and black pudding just to ensure I’ve got all my breakfast basics covered and it’s a delicious treat all round. Calum usually goes for the Bank’s Veggie Breakfast because it has double eggs – slightly confuses the waiters by then asking to add in black pudding (clearly not very veggie) but it suits him :)

Fantastic experience! Delectable food and super reasonable prices. Our waiter was kind, patient, and lovely to chat with. The food came out quickly and we loved everything. I would absolutely recommend the eggs with smoked salmon and one of the refreshing seltzers. If I'm ever in Glasgow again, I'll make sure to stop by this place for some delicious food and great people.

The Left Bank is definitely one of the places to visit for food. We were served by a lovely and attentive staff member who informed us of the specials and said just to ask if we needed anything else. I asked if non-alcoholic cocktails were available. The staff member asked what flavours I liked and said that they would create me a cocktail. The drink was phenomenal. We both ordered the chicken burger, which came in a brioche bun, with fresh salad and fries seasoned with rosemary on the side. My compliments to the chef as the dish was delish! It was truly divine. I wish I could give more than five stars because it really is heaven. To the staff, thank you for making this place as wonderful as it is. We will be back!

This is an absolutely spot-on place for atmosphere, service & food. It's not cheap but definitely NOT overpriced for the quality, taste and service of food. I went with the chef's soup of the day (coconut & tumeric) accompanied with toasted sourdough bread and astoundingly salubrious and flavoursome olives - fresh water is served at every table. Staff are lovely and genuinely helpful. Will return! 💖

My colleague recommended this brunch cafe to me, so I decided to drop in for a quick meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I ordered a bank breakfast and a pot of breakfast tea. Overall, the food was good, but the mushrooms and bean were too cold. Additionally, I wasn't provided with any cutlery at the beginning of my meal, so I had to request a fork and knife from the staff later on. Despite these minor inconveniences, I might still recommend the place overall.

Popped in after the rugby. Didn't bother with starters as was a bit late but our mains were delicious. Made a lovely salad for my mum who has sulphite allergies and she ate it all. Service was great, atmosphere was very relaxed and an all round lovely evening was had. Look forward to returning 😊

We ate here last night to get away from the trick or treaters and I cannot believe we haven't been before! Everything was exceptional, from the food, the vegan options, the fact they were SO dog friendly they even brought a blanket over. The drinks/cocktails were also amazing. The decor and lighting is also fabulous 👌 I asked for recommendations on food and drinks and without hesitation was given awesome advice. I even ended up asking Chloe (who took our booking over the phone) if she could pick the table for us as I hadn't been before, and every request was dealt with perfectly. They didn't miss a beat. The cauliflower small plate and the sesame seed tofu, in particular, were UNREAL. But we got several dishes to share, and everything was delicious *chefs kiss* I will 100% be returning to this venue, and think it's definitely one of my top ten spots in Glasgow.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. While we were in Glasgow for the (Coronation) Bank Holiday Weekend, we were looking for somewhere that served brunch. A couple of people that we know from the city suggested we try "The Left Bank" on Gibson Street and we weren't disappointed! The staff are super friendly, young and fun....they engaged well with us and seemed interested. They were busy and that's always a good sign and the accents appeared in the main to be "local". We never had to wait more than five minutes for a table which was amazing considering it was a Bank Holiday. Only good vibes at The Left Bank by the looks of things too. The longest time from sitting to ordering (on the three occasions that we visited) was roughly ten minutes. The food arrived in a timely fashion also. The French Toast with Caramelised Banana is to die for! So delicious!! My son had the Eggs Mornay Caledonia (poached egg with mornay sauce and smoked salmon). He was equally impressed. However, the best item of all on the menu was surprisingly their Breakfast Tea. I'm a tea lover and when I'm out I'm loathe to have a cuppa as it never tastes the same as at home. However, the tea here was SO GOOD that I had two pots of it on the three visits we made to The Left Bank that weekend! Full-bodied, not bitter and no tinny after taste! Believe me when I say it's definitely the best tasting tea outside my own home and that's high praise from me! I also noticed that many patrons brought their doggies along 🐶🐕 while they were enjoying a leisurely breakfast / brunch / lunch and as a dog lover I approve! Was a great talking point between the tables. I can highly recommend "The Left Bank" and look forward to visiting there again soon!

Ten out of ten! If you are in doubt about where to eat in the west end, have your meeting with a colleague, or have a pint just come here. The food is delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. There's ample choice for all tastes. The venue itself is very atmospheric and the location convenient. Above all, though, the staff should really be commended for the courtesy and flexibility. Thoroughly recommended!
