On our first day, we went for a walk around the area close to our hotel. We bought umbrellas and enjoyed our walk. As we were heading home, we stopped by the Griffin to enjoy an adult beverage. Staff were helpful, courteous, and friendly. Debra enjoyed a gin and tonic while tried a local beer!

Lovely feel to this traditional bar. Nice light through the big windows. Popped in on route to the King's theatre. Very busy but still felt spacious. Music. Nice selection of beers available.

Popped into the Griffin bar a stone throw away from The Kings Theatre for a small refreshment. Haven't been in here since the mid ninety. The main feature is the bar itself stunning. Staff were very friendly, prices reasonable for the town. Didn't have something to eat, but the menu looked good loads to choice from. 😋✔️

Great pub! Popped in for a couple of drinks before Sunshine on Leith in Kings. Great atmosphere, especially when playing Proclaimers music! Staff very quick to serve especially as pub was packed 👏

Great locals spot! Sat at the bar, staff was excellent and as a solo female traveler they made me feel welcome. Stayed longer than I was going to just because of these wonderful young employees and new found friends! Thank you for a great time!

The mac and cheese was absolutely superb, and at £8 a real bargain when just about everyone else is charging twice the price for meals only half as good. Isle of Skye beer on tap was good. And the music, lots of 1970s new wave and reggae, also did it for me. A great pub

Nice quiet bar, if you need to talk with friends, eat some local food and have beer, that’s excellent choice! Service also good.

Great pre-theatre meal at this lovely pub/bistro, a real Glasgow institution. The service was friendly and the delicious food was brought promptly. One incorrect main course arrived but this was swiftly replaced and a drink was given on the house by way of apology, not necessary but much appreciated!

Great selection of beers and malts. Impressed with the low alcohol, in particular the one from Beavertown. Music a bit too loud for my liking though.

This was sold to me as a quiet place but a matinée performance at a nearby theatre had just finished so The Griffin was rammed but no problem with that. Four of us visited and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Griffin has a separate restaurant area so between us we ordered Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken Goujons, Gammon Steak and Venison and Wild Mushroom pie. Everyone cleared their plates. Service was great as well and we were allowed to order another round of drinks after we had finished our meals. Only slight downside is that I'm not a fan of Skye Ales.
