I never had Kunefe like this before, but I like it! Cheese they use, apparently it is imported from France, is salty instead of more neutral Mozzarella which has added quite interesting notes to the taste. Maybe only the shape of the piece could've been a bit better though?

On the 14th of this month, I was cordially invited by my mentor and guardian; Dr. Mrs. Mridula Chakraborty- secretary of Association of Indian organisations- who I call aunty with love. We were joined by another guest too. This was a short official meet that turned out to be a very nice celebration/get-together before Christmas. Without further ado, let's take a dive into the food section now.
This cafe is a very cozy place located in Park road right next to the awesome bakery outlet called "Broken clock". Byblos is a Lebanese cafe and I must say it's already penned down on my repeat visit list. We had so many items that I can't even begin to recall their names. However, I can write an essay on the taste. Awesome would be an understatement. The food was simply beyond good and services were outstanding. Really hospitable hosts attending to each and every little request of their customers. We had two full portions of kebab platters that came with mixed kebabs, rice, bread, salad and fries. We had a very special salad called Tabbouleh. I had one portion of falafel that came with sides. We had some food packed as takeaway. In addition to this, we had ordered some tea, hot chocolate, nice creamy latte and soft drinks.
Guys please check out this awesome place and I am sure you will not regret it. Such a wonderful place that I cannot praise enough. It deserves a 5-star and even more. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sat inside as it was so hot outside. Being Glaswegian I was on the verge of catching fire. The owner(?) was very welcoming, took the time to talk with us and, before I ordered, recommended the kofta which was just freshly made. Got the kofta wrap which was easily in the top 3 best wraps I've ever had. Wifey got the falafel which she loved too! Had my eye on the chicken shawarma so will 100% be back to try that. 2 wraps, 2 soft drinks and a seat for £17. If in the area, you HAVE to try it.

Came in around 2pm for a relaxed late lunch. Just us sitting in so we had a bit more chat than I guess you usually get. Explaining the menu and how to cook it was great.
The food was very nice and reasonably priced. Subtle flavour rather than someone punching my senses. Would recommend and might try the delivery.

The most deliciously authentic food from the shawarma to the homemade garlic sauce to the freshly baked baklava.. Could not recommend somewhere more for proper authentic lebanese food. Very fairly priced and easily accessible too!

Food was great! Baclava delicious! But it's not just about food. Owners are lovely. I had nice conversations with this lady about culture, history and food of course. It is a family restaurant that you stop by to eat delicious home-made food and chat with your neighbor. I have to go back there to try okra stew and Lebanon cheesecake.

Humble cafe with some of the best tasting food I've ever tried in Glasgow. Great for vegans too!
The staff are extremely nice, adding a personal touch to your experience, but not intrusive.
Highly recommend!

Wonderful place, super friendly owners , very accomodating for gluten free options (loads of choice) gave good recommendations for food and drinks. Had a couple of amazing starters, houlomi was fantastic and falaffal platter was big enough for two. I forget what the traditional tea we had was but was fantastic and apparently it's very healthy.
First time in a Lebanese restaurant and I loved it and would highly recommend. And if and when I'm in area I would defo go again.

The food is amazing. So tasty and such a quality! Well done. The environment is not the best though, it needs a redecoration in my opinion, that’s the only reason why I’m giving a 4 and not a 5 star. At the same time is so cheap. Excellent choice for a delicious, traditional Lebanese meal.

Great food, appalling delivery service and rude owner
The food here is great, I've been here a couple of times. The one star is because of the delivery service, which is appalling, and owner, who is extremely rude.

I made an order, and there was a mistake in it, as they had substituted a pizza for a shawarma wrap. Delivery guy called the restaurant in front of me and they insisted that I'd ordered a pizza. Decided it was not a problem, and did not pay for the pizza and took the rest of the food - which was missing one of the items I had ordered. Called them and the lady who owns the shop insisted that she had taken the order correctly. She offered to send the missing shawarma wrap - though she said I would have to pay the driver again. This was annoying since it was not my mistake, but I figured it could be an honest mistake from the owner and decided not to order again as I did not want to pay another delivery charge.

Then I called again because I was going over the price and realized I had been overcharged. The lady who picked up, and who described herself as the owner of the shop, was incredibly rude. She cut me off before I could say why I was calling and said ''I am the owner of the shop and am not playing any games, that is what you ordered, if you don't like it don't order again'.

Upon explaining that I was calling to inquire about price - and when she stopped shouting long enough to listen to me - she realized that I in fact was overcharged £2.5, and that the delivery guy had stated a price £2.5 higher than the actual price. She said she would 'talk to the driver' when he returned to the shop (did not mention anything about if I would be reimbursed or something to that effect). About a half hour later, the driver called me and had returned with the overcharged amount - though the restaurant had not called me to tell me that he was coming (or even offer an apology, though I do not expect one based on the confrontational and rude attitude of the owner who 'is not playing games').

I will in fact take the owner's advice and not order again from this place or set foot in it. Would much rather take my business somewhere where staff know how to treat customers - or even how to talk to people politely.

Awesome Lebanese Food. I have had the pleasure of living in Lebanon for a short time and visiting there several times. As a result, I have experienced wonderful home-cooked Lebanese food many times. My visit to the Byblos Cafe was almost an accident whilst staying overnight in Glasgow on business. I'm so glad I found it - it's an absolute gem of a place! The food was as good as any I tasted in Lebanon and the memories came flooding back. This is no facsimile - this is the real deal. Authentic Lebanese food in pleasant if modest surroundings. This is a family-run business and you can tell that they take pride in what they do; It felt like I had been invited to dine in their home. Mum and Dad were busy making fantastic food in the kitchen whilst their son was a great host in the front of house, reminiscing with me about that beautiful country Lebanon.

If you want to experience the wonderful taste of real Lebanese food, then short of flying to Beirut, a visit to the Byblos Cafe is the very next best thing. You'll experience a great welcome and some first rate Lebanese food.

Sunday visit. This was our first visit to Byblos and was very impressed by the homely atmosphere , excellent food and first class service . Would highly recommend this restaurant but suggest you may have to book a table at the weekend .

Passionate welcoming family food. Myself and my wife went today, and for the first time in a long time I'm writing a review as soon as I get home. We went with a wowcher and to be honest I didn't expect too much, but as soon as we entered we were made to feel very welcome by the owners son, who is curtious and knowledgeable about his native Lebanese cuisine, and even provided us a brief history of Byblos.

We had two starters and two mains which were cooked very well, and presented well, we were even able to sample some desert, and as they are so nice we purchased some.

I will return one day very soon

Thanks
Paul

Fantastic dining experience. I popped into Byblos cafe yesterday for a bite to eat - and I have to say that the food was exceptional. I would certainly recommend the 'Soujouk Shawarma' - which was the first time I had tried it and almost definitely wont be the last ! As for the rest of the things I had - they were also very nice (they included Fatoush and Tabouleh salad as well as a Kofta shawarma).

The people who run the shop - the Bilan' family - are very warm and hospitable people.

As for the shop, very clean and a lovely decor!

Ill definitely be back again.

Overall 5*

Repeat Offender. I have visited twice on my own having found a reason to wander past, and once with a group of friends. Fantastic food and amazing family that run it.
