The restaurant has persian style interior, a relaxing and friendly atmosphere and very attentive and polite staff. We enjoed the large (huge) portion of the Kebab Koubideh and the Chicken Kebab (OFF THE BONE) complemented by salad and chips. Meats were tender and delicious.

The food was great.
We had the Mazeh platter which was really good. My mum loved the olives for some reason.
For main course, we had lamb kebabs with naan and a chicken stew.
The naan was really soft and tasty.
Service was great with a great ambience.

Good food and friendly staff. The portions were quite big too and reasonably priced. Would go again, although the decor might be abit OTT.

I found this space through Zomato and thought I would try it out. I was not disappointed! The naans are fantastic here! The service was also very quick and friendly.

This is not a trendy place that will change its menu. It's got it's classics down, and they are very very good.

I opted for the platter for two which was huge and was brought home for leftovers. It's definitely a good start if you're undecided on which mains to get

Nothing fancy. Nothing trendy. Just really good Persian food.

My all time favorite persian restaurant in Glasgow!!! I'd go back again and again for their ghormeh sabzi and zereshk polo ba morgh! The kebabs on the other hand didn't tickle my fancy. They were seasoned with basic seasoning. I wish they have gone more eccentric on the kebab seasoning. Stick with the stews and you will be very satisfied.

One of the hidden gems of Glasgow. Located just next to the subway on great western road, the restaurant is cozy and stuffed with Persian and Middle East artefacts - an amazing peek into the culture !! The owners are Iranian and the food is a 100% authentic.

We ordered a starter, mixed platter for 4 and dessert followed by tea - the quantity served can feed an army !!

The starter comprised of nan bread with an aubergine curry - mildly spicy with a hint of spices - delicious !!!
We ordered a yogurt to go with the meal - doogh. It's similar to lassi from india or ayran from Turkey and is a lot better than any alcohol to go with the meal.

The main course consisted of saffron rice served with a selection of chicken and lamb cooked in different styles. Roasted tomatoes and chillies complimented the flavour of the meat and the salad helped for reduce the spicy chilli !! The meats are dry and some butter with a hint of lime just adds to the experience. Do try the nan bread at the bottom of the platter only at the end - by the time you reach it the juice from the meats has soaked in and it's just right !!

For dessert try the baqlava - it's a coconut base sweet and can give a sugar high. Also worth a try is the ice cream with the carrot juice !!

You can start the meal with tea or finish with tea - it's brought to a slow boil so the aromas of the spices are retained in the drink.

The restaurant has a byob policy to accompany your drink but would suggest avoiding that - the meals are envisioned to be partaken without alcohol and drinking any would do injustice to the delicate flavours that come out in the food.

My only regret was the slightly uncomfortable seating in the premises for a tall person.

Looking forward to more great meals at the joint !! :)

I went to paradise with a few friends, this is a great little Persian restaurant. I would recommend the sharing platters for both starters and main as it adds a very nice social element to the dining experience. The hummus was a highlight and all of the meat was cooked to a much higher standard than your average take-away or local kebab shop.

I have not been in this restaurant in a while and I am glad it keeps surprising me as it did my first time! The aubergine was so crispy like a potato chip. The shawarma was delicious! We tried two dips and both were to dive for! The service was attentive and the prices are reasonable. Can't wait to gain my appetite again!

Absolutely tremendous. First visit to this restaurant and oh wow, so impressed! Food was absolutely delicious, friendly & helpful staff and a nice intimate atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back! The sticky spicy aubergine & the pistachio dip were the absolute stand outs but honestly every single dish was just incredible. 10/10!

Heard about this gem from my daughter so made the trip to check it out for myself with my better half. First impressions make the difference and we had booked it using their booking system as it was a Saturday I didnt want to leave it to chance and I am glad i did as walk ins were being politely turned away. We arrived 20 mins early and rather than being turned away to come back at the allotted time (there isnt a waiting area) the host politely had a look at her booking system and temporarily sat me down at a vacant table while our table was getting ready. We ended up requesting to stay where we were and they accommodated this. This was an common theme, accommodating when clearly very busy, great work. Atmosphere and decor spot on, Iranian themed and an partially open kitchen added to the atmosphere and I forgot to mention the lovely smell of fresh cooked food when you enter the restaurant tells you that you are in for something special. Now onto the menu, simple and descriptive, one page with a not overbearing selection. We ordered for starters, Naan, trio of dips, diced potato fries, spicy tond chicken kebabs, and stick spicy aubergine. We were blown away. The food received was simply on a whole new level, fresh tasting and explosions of flavours in our mouths was consistent. The trio of dips complemented with the naan, sublime. Hard to pick out a favourite, if i had to it would be the pistachio dip as I am a nut fan and pistachios I have as of my top 3 nuts. So i was over critical and not disappointed. The fries were triple cooked and garnished to perfection, the chicken was tender and succulent, again mixing this with the dips added to the experience positively. My only criticism is the naans while lovely when received go cold a little quick but some may not mind this, it didnt bother me but did my wife, maybe if they can be presented in a way that they stay warm longer than they do could be looked at (but as this is my review no points marked down from me ☺️). The standout dish was the stick spicy aubergine, they are probably the one dish that made me think, was the 50 mile trip worth it, YES YES YES, if you like aubergines, then be prepared, actually even if you dont like aubergines or never had aubergines, please just try this dish, i thought i had died and gone to heaven. The portions are so generous for this dish and all the dishes that after this melee my wife and I were stuffed. ……and we had also ordered a main, oh dear. So for future reference all of the above was enough to make us full. So should you want to try and go for a main my advice would be to cut out 2 of the above and then share a main. We ordered the special chicken which is offered with a nan, saffron rice or fried potatoes, we asked for rice and ordered a naan also. Presented beautifully and again the meat was spot on and succulent and expertly cooked…..top points for your chefs. They provided butter for the rice and i have to say, I am not a rice fan, I’m converted, i just wish we had the room to put it, we had been interacting with the polite staff who were amazing and they provided a takeaway box to take it home. For drinks they have a good selection of wines which i could see, however as we dont drink we opted for something that caught my eye and if you blink you may miss it as its the last drink item on their menu, which is a shame because it should be front and center it was that good…..doongh (apologies if spelt incorrectly) what a drink, its a carbonated yogurt drink with walnuts and mint on the rocks, my head went as ive had plenty of yoghurt drinks but carbonated, no, we ordered one, to try, my better half took one sip and said you need to get your own haha, i did and i could see why, light, refreshing and simply amazing, best yoghurt drink I’ve had in a long while. So in summary, book a table and go visit this fantastic restaurant in glasgow, you will be absolutely blown away. Well done. I’ll be back for sure. Just saw some reviews around restricted table times, when booking online it tells you when its required back, no issues.

It was my first visit to Safferon by Paradise after seeing so many recommendations from others. And I must say it didn't disappoint and i would love to return in the futrue. The staff are very friendly and helpful from the reservation to the actual dinner service. Food is phenomenal, love all the unique flavours. Its menu is curated to encourage sharing with your group. I would highly recommend the lamb dishes, I also enjoy Sumac prawn. The only thing i find a bit underwelming was the dish called Dolmeh, it tastes refreshing but not much flavour to it.

Excellent food, great portions for sharing and reasonable prices. Standout dishes were the sumac prawns, lamb shawarma and the smoky aubergine dip! The place is nice inside and feels quite authentic of Persian culture. Service was quick and friendly! Would definitely go back.
