One of my favourite places for Sushi. Plenty of choice, well prepared sushi and a great selection of drinks. Well worth a visit!
Visited here today with my friend for lunch, and can’t recommend this yo sushi highly enough. Staff were super friendly, very attentive, and the food was fresh, and lovely! Glasgow’s best Yo Sushi, and by far the nicest staff well done.
Foodie Explorers | Glasgow Foodie |Reviews of Glasgow Restaurants and food| Food Blog | Travel Blog. New Tokyo street food inspired menu at Yo Sushi. We were invited along to Yo Sushi at Silverburn to try out the new “Welcome to Tokyo” menu. The menu revamp aims to be more Japanese and less fusion with some Tokyo street food bites on show.
Food is good. However there is a very bad selection of food on the belt. The coke is warm. You are often served diet coke when asking for normal coke. Hardly any tuna sushi as they evidently don't buy much in. Many better places to go in Glasgow. Can get twice as much sushi with your cash at twice the quality in the city centre. But it is still ok for a quick bite to eat.
Dont go unless an offer is on!. Firstly, this place is expensive, all those little plates soon add up. Therefore only go when there is an offer on (40% with a code, or the all you can eat buffet £18.50)
Been a few times now for the buffet and have always stayed the full 2hrs allotted to get my monies worth! If you are eating off the belt you do sometimes need to wait, you are at the mercy of what the chefs are cooking at that time.
The sushi is usually of a high quality, and they use good quality ingredients. its not just sushi they have, lots of japanese deep fried food to (gyozas, tempura and 'hairy' prawns).
So its worth a try, but to reiterate, only when its buffet (or 40% off), then its great fun trying to eat as much as possible. When i have been in people watching you can tell the customers who are paying the full price by the constant counting of plates and the mental arithmetic going on in their head!
Like it but.... I like Yo Sushi, beyond the novelty factor BUT the location of it right in the middle of the shopping centre, beside Debenhams isn't great and also I find it a bit over-price for what you actually get.
Hyper waiter. I went to yo sushi and loved the staff was brillient ans the panic button as i call it was a great touch and i was very excited when i saw the conveyor XD
A fun and modern dining experience
Friendly service! Delicious food!
My friend and I ordered salmon sushi for two and it was pretty good. It was £10 per person.
Only my favourite place ever! Fantastic service from the girl in glasses who's studying Anatomy! 🤗 my only major criticism is that the mooli/daikon tasted was little unwashed. But the tuna was perfect, especially the seared tuna nigiri with truffle oil and the diy softshell crab handroll was perfect.
Great service and excellent food as usual jenny was dead helpful and allowed a wee taste of various dishes before we bought them.
The beef and chilli is amazing..
First time ever going to Yo! Sushi and I absolutely loved it. It was a bit on the pricey side but the food was lovely. You just scan the QR code on your phone, order your food and it comes within minutes. Great taste and good portion size. Highly recommend
Always busy but food is up to scratch, vegan options are great. Kids menu could be better, plus kids bento box doesn't have vegan options. Apart from that it really is a firm favourite with the kids.
Fantastic service by Hayley, got us seated fairly quickly and helped us out with our order! Will definitely be back!
I gave a visit to a young lady selling Greek sweets and a selection of honey roasted assorted cashew nuts, I bought a couple of grams of cashews and they were delicious, so I must get back down for more as soon as possible.
John Burns.
Great had a fab sushi making workshop with plenty to eat and take home. Would recommend.
Actually we had a lovely lunch in M&S then went for a walk in the shopping centre. My mum who is in her eighties, needed a rest and with no seating anywhere, a staff member from the sushi place thought we were skipping the queue! One we explained, she brought a chair for mum to sit on! Once rested we went on with the rest of our afternoon.
Great service, great food. Got to try new menu item before being released.
