What i really liked in this place is that you can sit outside and enjoy a beer with some food. It is in a small street and it is really nice. The food is on average quality. Recommended for a beer.
This was my first visit to Sloan’s, but definitely not my last. I can’t quite believe all those years living in Glasgow and I never visited this place!
As I now live in Australia, unfortunately it’ll be a while before I get back for more of THAT macaroni cheese. I’m a traditionalist, so went for the original. It was sooo good. I really wanted to try the haggis pakora, so next time I’ll skip breakfast to make room.
The service was efficient and friendly. Great range of gins on offer. Try the Harris, you won’t be disappointed!
I go here when I'm looking for some good pub grub in the city centre. I defiantly recommend the mac n cheese on its own or there is a variety of toppings to try out for something a bit different.

Ordered the mac and cheese and was super good, definitely coming back for more! Portion size is very worth the price and overall ambience of the restaurant both inside amd out was chill, thats always a pluss for a casual meal
Decent pub food in a historic building. We had the burgers and they were tasty. It is perfect for a stop if you are walking around the Glasgow City center.
Mmmm mac n cheese. We go to Sloans regularly for lunch and almost always opt for the macaroni and cheese. I'm not a huge fan of strong cheesy taste so this is great for being somewhere in the middle. Oozing with gruyere, the pasta is melt in the mouth and the salad on the side is drizzled with a lovely dressing. Price wise, it's a reasonable £7.95 and for lunch it makes a pretty hearty meal.
Decent but overpriced.... Decent pub grub but a bit overpriced for what you get. The bar has a great atmosphere but the pub is a bit chilly. Ask for a table in the bistro at the back. Not a great selection for vegetarians.
The dishes are great value for money for the amount of food you receive and are very filling. So filling that I honestly felt like I went into a food coma after stuffing my face. It was probably due to the fact my eyes are always bigger than my belly. One of my flaws. It was just too good to say no to!
We had a gorgeous lunch with our two dogs today. All staff were so polite and attentive. The place has great character, a warm and friendly atmosphere and a fantastic menu with specials too! Our two dogs were made a fuss of and given biscuits, which even our super nervous collie couldn't say no too. We sat in the cosy area near the bar that is dog friendly and felt so welcome and relaxed- as did the dogs. We would highly reccomend!
It is a great pub to hang, if you want to sit with friends and chill with beer and good food. The foods were delicious. As a feedback, Beavertown Neckoil is a great beer but they can expand the beer range with Glasgow's craft beers. All else awesome.
Famous old Glasgow pub. Outside tables in the courtyard. Nice multi-room bar. Some rooms upstairs also ( with cinema show). Seemed to be loads of staff. Don't miss the tiled entrance and stair off Argyle Arcade.
Lovely place to have a wedding. The only down point is that it's not very wheelchair friendly when you have to climb stairs to the wedding venue. I used my stick, but was sore and exhausted by 7 pm. Everything else was faultless. The food was amazing, and the staff friendly and efficient. Atmospheric place but needs a lift!
Enjoy the Sunday roast and comedy show deal. Lovely venue and a great atmosphere, and the service was good. The food was excellent. Entertained by 3 comedians who were very funny.
Cool location in Glasgow. We just had some drinks, so can't comment on the food. Tha atmosphere is nice, all sorts of people out, mostly for drinks. The food we saw looked good.
We were out on a Thursday evening.
I went to the Friday night cèilidh, bought my ticket on line. It included one drink coupon, given at the door. I travel solo, but this event would be better with at least one friend. Dress is dresses, skirts, nice trousers, kilts. It's hot in there, too. Band was good, cèilidh dances were fun and there were lots of willing dancers. The band leader quickly taught each dance, but they were obviously familiar to at least 1/2 the dancers. Gay Gordon's, Dashing White Sergeant, Canadian Barn Dance, etc.
Had lunch delicious BBQ pulled pork bagel and Mac cheese. Staff friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.
Had the Steak pie. It was really good. The place was super crowded, probably because they give you an adequate sized good quality plate for a fair price. Absolutely worth it. Even the background music was awesome.
Excellent venue, staff are friendly and the door staff are really nice. Great place for a drink and a good laugh. The set up for weddings is fantastic and makes for a wonderful time.
