Visited on a recommendation. Wasn't disappointed and really impressed. Food is made fresh and as requested. If you haven't tried you really are missing out. Superb Food and service.
I have used this Chip shop & cafe for ages and the quality and standards have not changed. Everything has been as superb as the first time I ever went in there 20 years ago. Once a month treat and get a delivery and it is always prompt and warm and cheery service and very efficient. This is the only chippie I will ever use. Keep up the good work..
First of all i’m shocked at some of the reviews on here because I genuinely think it’s a brilliant chippy. I’ve always found the food from here very good and tasty. I worked in a chippy for years so I can tell when stuff isn’t fresh, never had an issue with the freshness or quality. We regularly get a pizza and a sausage supper as a Friday night treat & no complaints.
Long established and recently renovated chip shop (also pizza, pakora and kebabs). On street parking in front and at the side of the shop.
My fritters were great (got 7 instead of 5 😋👍🏻) and friends fish supper was cooked fresh (two pieces of fish which were in the keep hot area were discarded rather than sold 👍🏻)
Settle ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great tasting premium chippy. Although the chips are never my fav, and there's not much for Gluten Free.
Fish and Chips was great. There was a little unnecessary confusion about the order which I could not understand - did they try to upsell? - but all good in the end. i like the packaging too.

Solid consistent good chippy. Prices have gone up but I guess that's happening everywhere.
I've been coming up here since the 90's from West London.. I always pop in before I head back down south. Nostalgia, good banter from the guvnor (not seen him in a while, top fella) and great food.. Fish supper to king rib, pizza crunch drowned in salt and vinegar and the roll and fritter.. beautiful.
Unfortunately, last week's visit was a slight letdown as the chips didn't taste fresh cut but from a packet, and not completely cooked through. Everything else was on point as usual. The lovely lady allowed us to eat our lunch in the shop.
Heard a lot about this chippy and gave it a try as an Easter treat. The order arrived within the allotted time and the portion of fish supper was excellent and tasted delicious with the gravy poured over it.
I would definitely recommend Gennaros to anyone looking for a fantastic fish supper.
I work across the road and I have never had any complaints about the food. Place is looking cracking after the refurb as well. Keep up the good work guys.

Food was good, price was rather high but I guess that comes with the position of shop.
