Had a few beers and sat down during a tour of area. Staff were welcoming, busy but seats in longe and out front available. Good pub with food available,but didn't try this visit.

Nice pub but got barred for allegedly smoking in the toilet when there was no evidence to say it was me considering there was over 100 males in the place who share ONE cubicle. Very frustrated as this was my local

This is an old traditional pub in the heart of Glasgow's West End on great western rd. It can be very noisy with its highly male clientele. The atmosphere is old school with a great ambiance and good old homely comfort Service was great, friendly staff and nearly all the food was excellent. The batter on the fish and halloumi was really crispy. Best dish was the sticky chicken fillets which had a lovely tangy taste. The only dish that let down an otherwise excellent feast was the Mac Cheese which was insipid and lacked correct texture and taste.
All in all a good culinary experience.
