Great place with lots of cool arty pieces, good coffee and amazing cakes and brownies
Excellent gallery space! I have been there quite a few times now for admiring the art and also for an amazing concert that was put on there. Greate staff and the cafe has soooo many teas!
My favourite coffee shop in Glasgow. Nice coffee, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. I just wish they worked a bit longer

I love the atmosphere of the shop and really enjoyed being able to see all of the local art from Glaswegians. Spending a Sunday morning here, with a coffee, and just writing was exactly what I needed. Definitely stop in, browse the art, see the current exhibit, and soak it in.
Art + Coffee = The Alchemy Experiment
The first thing you have to understand, if you go to The Alchemy Experiment, is it's not JUST a coffee shop, it's an art gallery. But it's not JUST an art gallery, either, it's a coffee shop.
The coffee is good. The art is good. But what makes it great (and what gives it 5 stars) is that you enjoy those things together. The coffee is enhanced by the art environment and the art environment is enhanced by the coffee.
It has a basement, usually with a projector projecting a short movie or some art, it has large tables (great for larger groups), it sells some cakes and also prints of some of the art. It's very open and spacious and it feels like somewhere you can spend a long period of time (and trust me, I have).
If I HAD to be picky about one thing, then I would say that they recently prevented people from plugging in their laptop chargers, so, if you are going for a while, make sure your phone/laptop is fully juiced.
