The Japanese traditional food is served very originally. I would say its one of the best Japanese restaurant in Scotland, comes with sushi, ramen, fried rice, etc Also the staffs are so friendly and kind we speak a lot and had a nice time:))

The seating upstairs is unpretentious and homely. The sushi was great and reasonably priced :) Recommended!

I've tried you again and it was waaaaaaaay better. Actually pretty delicious this time!
I had really high hopes for this place and was excited to have a sushi joint on my doorstep; I miss the sushi I used to have in Japan. Sadly, I feel rather let down.
Firstly, my tuna sashimi wasn't actually cut properly and was a little odd tasting. The texture was a bit slimy too. It was some fairly tasteless tuna.
The mango and salmon was bland. I mean, the fish itself was actually pretty damn good but there was no other flavour, even with the dressing and the mango.
The chili chicken ramen was underwhelming and very salty. I didn't finish the broth. Not like me. The beef was delicious in it though; a saving grace.
Finally, my salmon box was too old. Some of the rice was dry and the pickled ginger was also dried out. Un-cool. I've paid a fair whack of money for this and expect super-fresh fish.
Disappointed.

Sushi is good.
Had the pork noodle soup dish (cant recall name) both times. Even though tasty i found the broth not very hot (warm).

I order takeaway from here pretty often and I'm always happy with my food. The spicy beef ramen is my fave but I love the sushi platters too. Going to try a poke bowl next. I generally order from the website as its a bit cheaper than on the apps.

I went there for sitting in and food was great and service was exceptionally nice. I got everything I ordered within 5 minutes, which was very quick.
The chicken karage and miso soup was tasty and hot. I ordered a California maki and it came in just the right bite size and tasted great.. although I’m not a big fan of mayo on sushi. Salmon Sashimi was very fresh and professionally cut. Overall a great experience.

The California Maki was absolutely sublime! We ordered a few different mains to share and everything was brilliant. Fresh, tasty, authentic Japanese food - Very reasonably priced too. Okame is a welcome addition to the Southside. We will be back very, very soon!

Went to Okome for lunch in December, while restrictions allowed. They had only been open a few weeks but the food was great, served quickly, and reasonably priced. Friendly staff too.
