Everything about this place was amazing! My sister and I went here while on vacation. We made a reservation last minute as it was one of the closest to our Airbnb and it was such an unexpected, but wonderful surprise. :) It turned out to be our favorite place to eat while in Scotland. I just wish I lived closer to it.

Incredible dining experience! All the dishes were creative, delicious, and the flavours were nuanced. The atmosphere was beautiful and it was really like a cozy and beautiful oasis in the beautiful surroundings of Skye. We loved that many of the ingredients came from the owner’s croft, including some of the herbal teas. The tea pairings went perfectly with the courses and were served thoughtfully. Service was top-notch as well. All-in-all, we were very impressed and loved the very special dinner we had here at Chidakasha Skye!

Superlative Food, attentive professional service. Having no alcohol didn't detract from the experience at all. Not had Tea pairing with a meal before and enjoyed the experience (although personally it wouldn't be a deal breaker not to have it). Loved the home produced leaves and other ingredients in the dishes. There was obviously a lot of work and thought gone into the menu. Unquestionably in the top few vegetarian meals I've ever had since going veggy in 1986.

Lovely little restaurant with great service. Feels like a fine dining experience without the expensive prices. Dinner is a 3 course set menu with a tea pairing, dinner was lovely but not so sure about the tea pairing but appreciate it’s a different approach.

The food is excellent, light and healthy. Vegetarian and surprising, with well thought dishes. The teas are great even as someone who generally doesn’t like tea, I was pleasantly surprised. The service is warm and friendly. An easy recommendation overall !

Chef Petra and host Scott create such a wonderful atmosphere with amazing food and tea pairing that makes you want to come back again and again. Restaurant is very down to earth with humble home grown ingredients that work amazingly well together. Wish them all the success and I can’t recommend it enough.

An absolutely superb experience, this was my first time trying a vegetarian restaurant and I was not disappointed. The taste and presentation of all the dishes was amazing, and the tea pairings added a really interesting element. The different blends of tea really complemented each dish, and the Iranian rose bud tea was delicious. I also ate at Three Chimneys during my stay which is just down the road, and classed as a ‘fine dining’ restaurant, this restaurant blew it away in every aspect, I can’t recommend it enough, definitely worth coming back to Skye just to come here again. Thank you Petra and Scott!

If you are staying anywhere near this restaurant, YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE! Be sure to make a reservation well in advance as she is only open three days of the week with two sittings at 6pm and 8:15pm each night. My husband and I are meat lovers but decided to try this Vegetarian restaurant and am so glad we did. The whole experience was outstanding. From the moment we entered the restaurant and were enthusiastically greeted by Scott to the last sip of Iranian Rosebud tea was a magical experience. The serene atmosphere, relaxing music and cozy tables contributed to the overall mood of complete relaxation. Petra creates her own unique dishes that are 5 star. I couldn’t believe how flavorful and filling every single course was. The combination of flavours used were unique and took me by surprise. One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. I would have paid double the price, I was that impressed. You will not be disappointed.

This is a gem. Excellent vegetarian/vegan food. Very nicely presented. A small place that you need to make reservations for. It’s a for the most part set three course dinner. They pair every dish with a specific tea. The owners prepare and serve the food and make you feel welcome.

Amazing little gem off the beaten path which deserves more attention. The cuisine is very creative and delighted our palettes and eyes. The music and atmosphere of the place is very calm and peaceful. It feels like you are invited to dinner at someone’s home, as dishes are brought out to all tables simultaneously. Reservations are a must and allow extra time to arrive because the road is very rough. The staff were warm and friendly and we loved to learn about how the dishes are made with ultra-local produce. The tea pairings were lovely and complimentary. All said, the experience was wonderful and on par with Michelin star restaurants I visited. Although I’m not vegetarian I loved every dish. Best wishes for success to owner Petra.
