The landlord is always cheerful and welcoming. The food is delicious, especially the steak pie which you have to have with the buttery mash. Homemade pizzas are always nice too and highly recommend the Sunday lunch. Great pub with friendly staff and very tasty food.

A really nice village pub. Staff are very friendly, they always have a good selection of cask ales on tap. The food is very nice, it has a great atmosphere no matter on the time visiting. Couldn't ask anything more of a village pub!

It was my husbands 60th so quite a large group, the pub was very busy as always, the staff are amazing, they never stop, the food was brought to our table hot and delicious, a mix of carverys and daily menu, they let me bring my own cake which they presented better than i ever could have for dessert. Never a disappointment at the crown. Thank you x

Popped in for Sunday lunch today and ordered burger and beef roast. Both meals were fantastic, the meat cooked perfectly and the same goes for everything else on a plate (beautiful Yorkshire pudding, crispy but fresh chips for burger and potatoes for roast). Both the owner (I think) and the young lady serving us were really lovely and checked in on us during the meal and brought our thirsty puppy a bowl of water. The space is nicely designed with perfect mix of modern and rustic/cozy and pub has great background music on. Definitely somewhere you can also just sit for few hours and enjoy a drink. Even though we live 20 minutes away we will definitely be back. 😊

Stayed off at the crown today on way back to skegness. The meal was the best ive ever had. I chose the pork belly and it was outstanding. Compliments to the chef. Service was great. Very friendly and was well worth the money paid. We will be working through the menu.

Lovely pub, fab food and the bar manager was just awesome she went above and beyond. We went for my sisters 60th birthday and they let us take a cake and even brought it out for us to have instead of dessert. Came away feeling very happily full and would highly recommend this pub. They were recommend to us and we were not disappointed. Five stars thank you 😊 x

Surprisingly nice pub. Doesn't look much from the outside and is right on the main road, but inside is nice and cosy. An interesting menu with good options for vegetarians. Tuesday night is pizza night, which I had, and was lovely. Mrs was similarly impressed with her pie.
This is our third visit and each time the food has been spot on and the staff very friendly and attentive.
