Great pub grub at reasonable prices. Handy for getting dry and fed after a wet dog walk in Glossop. Only slight criticism would be the lack of choice on draft, if you’re not a big fan of Holt beers.

Great place, visiting Glossop and decided to call in for breakfast, the price was excellent and great portion size, choise of smaller portion if required, very friendly and welcoming, menu choise excellent. This is such a fantastic pub and hotel! I’m on cycle tour and needed a place to stay last minute. I called to make sure they had a place I could store my bike and they said they would accommodate me. I arrived to the warmest greeting by such friendly staff. The room is beautiful, comfortable, and quiet (with the most amazing shower), the food and drink selection is excellent, and it was quiz night. Was a ton of fun to play. I would definitely stay here again were I to come through Glossop.

We had a one night stay in the hotel whilst attending a family event. The room was lovely and looked newly refurbished. The staff in the hotel bar were so helpful and went the extra mile to find us a parking space. Don’t know the two ladies names, which is a shame as I would have given them a mention. The hotel is very central in Glossop and there were taxis around the corner which we used to get to our evening event. We would definitely return here.

Situated in the heart of Glossop this is one of our favourite places to eat. The menu is varied with good pub food and options for children. They do themed days and today was Fish Friday so naturally we had fish and chips, which was excellent. They open in the morning for breakfast and there is also an ice cream bar with a large selection of flavours. The staff are friendly and helpful and dogs are welcome. Highly recommended.

We had the all day breakfast and it was great .Plates and food was hot and it came within a couple of minutes. Ruby was our waitress and she was lovely, very polite and never stopped working, nothing was too much trouble .A lovely pub with brilliant staff

Lovely pub in the town centre. Staff really genuine & helpful.
Rooms modern & nicely decorated, spacious and well equipped (good shower, sofa, bed).
We stayed over whilst riding the Trans Pennine Trail and had 5 bikes. Nowhere specific for bikes and no specific charging point for electric bikes, though there was a large beer/bottle store we used for 1 bike.
(I only mention this not as a complaint but a suggestion to make it more bike friendly).
Overall a superb place to stay and a good pub atmosphere with good food.
