Ye Olde Resteraunt And Fish Shope - Gloucester - Photo album

Lunch here was fantastic! The fish was succulent and fresh with a crisp batter, and service was lovely in a cozy setting. I’d highly recommend anyone coming to Gloucester to drop by for a meal.
Honestly this was the best fish and chips I ever had in the UK. The battered sausage was as well a delicious surprise. They do their own batter which tastes amazing. With home made sauces, locally brews this is definitely a place that I will visit again and I highly recommend to anyone who is aroun
We enjoyed a wonderful fish and chips meal. The batter was light and crispy, and the homemade tartar sauce delicious. Service was excellent; friendly and efficient, and we felt that we were treated as honoured guests but also as family! And great value for money, too.
This is mainly a to go restaurant, but we tried their sit down area in the second floor and it was really nice. There are tables by the front window. The food itself was well flavored and well battered. Get the sauces, especially the curry one. It goes well with the fish. The fries are pretty good
Feeling hungry after a rugby match, I decided to try this establishment as it is quite close to Kingsholm. It is a small tutor building with an upstairs restaurant attached to a busy take-away. I ordered plaice and chips and a beer to wash them down. Cannot fault the meal, the plaice was fresh and p
The best chip shop in glos! Have eaten from there plenty of times, and every time has been spot on! Highly recommend this place to anyone who has never eaten from there before! Nice fresh food, friendly staff, and very fair priced!
Our go to chip shop in Gloucester and always get good food. Cod cooked to order and decent size and chips always fresh.
Okay my turn to review this place. I enjoyed the chips. Fish was ok but seemed to have a lot of bones in part of it, and nicely battered. No problem with the pie... quite nice. I did think (and I know things are going up in price)... but £14+ seemed quite expensive for fish / chips and a pie
The best traditional English cuisine in the only restaurant in the city's historic building, next to Gloucester Cathedral! We all adore, Becca😍 The soul and the heart of the entire historic building of 10 Hare Lane👍😘 Unique Experience ✌️
It is a nice old restaurant from early 16Ct. Best of fishandchips, friendly staff
Missed coming to this restaurant for my freshly done chips and excellent service as always. Rebecca is definitely the best person to be served by. Such a sweet lady, who is always up for a laugh and always remembers my order with the consistently fantastic quality of the food. Forever a loyal custo
Great chippy! Consistently the best in Gloucester, and has been for years, even after changes in ownership / management. We mainly takeaway - once or twice a month on average - but on the odd occasion that we do decide to dine in, it’s always really good - the Tudor building provides a very differen

Proper fish n chips! In newspaper! Makes them taste even better! : )) Had a few good friends meet ups in here with kids running about descending on the place after an event ...... Happy Days! : )
Roast had battered sausage and chips from here today and he said “ bang on mush, 10 outta 10.” Mind you he does enjoy a good battered sausage.
I enjoyed my time and it makes my day more than good. The waiter had well recommended to my wishes what I like. And it was the best choice and it was very delicious. A cozy place to spend on your own or with your friends and family. Yes, I recommend this restaurant definitely!
