The staff member who served me was incredibly helpful and friendly, I asked if they had any books with transfemme and they spent time looking for me. Will definitely be coming back. 😊
Great selection of books and friendly staff, cafe upstairs is lovely
A lovely bookshop. The shelves are well spread making it feel very open. The staff were very helpful and polite. Last time I visited I enjoyed a lovely coffee in the cafe after buying several books. It is also perfectly situated with a good selection of shops surrounding it.
Gloucester's only 'proper' bookshop. Good range of books, cards, games etc. Ordered two books which came in quickly and as promised.
Clean, tidy, well stocked. Very helpful and friendly staff and the little notes around the shelves are really useful.

I’ve found Waterstones to be a great book shop at all the locations I’ve visited and this Gloucester branch is no exception!
They have a large selection of easily searchable books with plenty of room to pass other patrons, a nice collection of book related accessories, and card games and potential gift items by the counter. Comes with a nice atmosphere and that fresh book aroma to boot.
My favourite bookshop....always great offers and good selection of titles. But what makes this store is the cafe upstairs. Brilliant team of staff, great coffee and a real community feel despite being part of a chain. Excellent customer service from the cafe team, always cheerful and always go above and beyond despite often being short staffed and very busy. Far better than Cheltenham in all sorts of ways. But, oh dear, do they need a new dishwasher - come on, Waterstones HQ, get a new dishwasher - it breaks down too often. Maybe us regulars should crowdfund for a new one?
