Great local pub with good beers, a nice garden front and back, child and dog-friendly, good atmosphere and a fun quiz night, now with live music too! Only down side is that the food appears to be mostly cooked from frozen and the burgers are generally overcooked, almost inedible in my experience - I'm astonished to read that people have enjoyed these and I've tried them several times in case I was unlucky but they've always been cooked to the point of being dry and chewy. Also fish and chips, probably the best dish available, seems very often to have run out. So could do far better in this department (e.g. Charterhouse Arms about 1km away is 5x better for burgers, and all other food generally) So wouldn't recommend it for the grub but for everything else it rocks!

Love the cricketers, it’s such a fantastic local and it has just been taken over by the loveliest land lady ever, Lisa. Aaron the old owner was equally lovely in his own way, but we wish Lisa all the luck in the world with her new endeavour and we look forward to helping out when we can. They have a great selection of booze and a really friendly atmosphere and staff. The food is proper pub grub, but done well. This place is not pretending to be anything it’s not. It’s just a great local pub. We look forward to many more visits and lots more fun.

A good place to unwind for a beer. Far cheaper than Guildford central.

Great little local, we love going here and recently there beer selection has expanded. The food isn’t wow, but it’s proper pub grub and pub grub done well. It does everything it’s meant to, staff are friendly, locals are friendly, they welcome dogs. So happy it’s just around the corner :)

A great local. Decent though not huge selection of drinks, haven't explored the full spectrum, but the name of the game is doing less things...doing them well. Beers were good however, well poured, cool. Food was great, but not excellent. A limited menu is a good sign of quality and burgers are their forté. Meat is from local butchers, and the burgers are very generous. Ours was a bit dry in parts, but we were the last batch of burgers for the week before their weekly order, so I would go at the weekend to have them at their freshest. It was cooked with good technique as they hadn't grilled the moisture out if it. Taste is good and the sauces and other elements in the burger complimented, but didn't drown out the star of the show - the patty. This is a burger that isn't hiding and prides itself on quality. Chips, with skin on, taste great. The vibe of this pub is local, the staff are friendly, but casual and the friendly pub dog mills about. The building is old, characterful, with rose-clad flemish-bond facade and ample outdoor/indoor seating. If you aren't looking for anything too fancy, but want an enjoyable local pub experience this is a reliable go to. A great pub with potential for excellence with a few tweaks on food and a stronger/clearer specialty on drinks. Food: 7/10, Drinks: 7/10, Service: 8/10, Value for money: 8/10, Atmosphere: 8/10. Total: 38/50.

Lovely pub! Genuine log burning fire as you enter which makes the room so cosy and smells amazing! Great selection of beers on tap and the food is very delicious! The person who served me was very friendly and incredibly helpful! Plenty of space to sit, the furniture is comfortable, and there's a pub garden. The toilets are very clean and there is a baby changing table available. Sadly no car park, but the pub is situated in a quiet residential area with friendly locals. Last time I went, 8 cars in total went with us for a party and we all got parked easily.
