Roost Godalming

Loved this cafe in Godalming. Offering window seats, cozy tables and an unexpected outdoor seating area, it is the perfect location to grab a bite to eat before or after shopping! The menu offers a range of healthy eating options, including smoothies, as well as homemade sweet treats. We went for poached eggs and bacon on sourdough, poached eggs and avocado and a Flapjack cup. All nicely presented, freshly cooked and served in a timely manner. Dog friendly and friendly on the pocket, it is worth dropping by even if just for a freshly roasted coffee.

I've been going to Roost in Godalming for over a year now with my adult son with learning disabilities and my very large Great Dane ! What can I say?? Of course the coffee and food are top notch ( the waffles are to die for) the menu is varied, food always delicious, the coffee hits the spot every time ,but in a town full to the brim of coffee shops what makes this one stand out?? .... The staff ! In particular lovely Tom who always welcomes us like old friends, remembers our names and our coffee order, makes a huge fuss of the dog ( who loves him) Tom treats my son with kindness , respect and encouragement, so much so that now he will go to the counter to order our food.The atmosphere in Roost is always happy, friendly and welcoming ,all the staff are cheerful,service is quick and efficient and as a bonus they offer blue light discount! I would and do recommend it to everyone. Our visits make a Saturday extra special 🥰 keep up the good work and Tom, you can never leave !

Such a cosy and welcoming place right on the High Street with absolutely delicious gluten free/healthy food! We wanted to eat the entire menu but we’ll have to take a few more visits to do so :) The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about allergies and any dietary needs. The pantry was also well stocked with local/housemade goodies, with some really interesting and unique products. A must visit!
