Beautiful friendly little pub that does lovely food at reasonable prices - will also cater for outside functions , we used them on 1st Feb 2018 for a family wake . Cannot recommend Vince & his wife highly enough they supplied a fabulous array of hot & cold buffet that was simply amazing - thankyou so much
Visited the Cricketers of Goldhanger yesterday with family for a little reunion, having not been in this pub for years. I was aware that it is now under new management from April 1st 2017. Vince, Di, Dave & Kelly were fabulous, they were very welcoming & accommodating. The food was delicious & portion size was great. We were a party of 6 adults & 2 children that all enjoyed our meals varying of scampi, burgers & roast chicken & beef, deserts we had were cheesecake, apple & blackberry crumple, chocolate brownie & ice-cream all served with ice-cream, cream or ice-cream. We will definitely be back! In fact I know my parents will have a stroll round very soon :-D xx
Such a lovely little pub and the best landlord service after we had such a manic day. Food is exceptional, the haddock was out of this world and the batter was the best I've tasted. Also did a dirty burger for my dad, which was mighty big and delicious. Mum had the steak and kidney pudding and said that was one of the best she tasted. He spoilt my son with colouring books/crayon set, special drink and extra special dessert of ice cream, choc sauce and extra choc toppings. I would definitely go back to this pub when in the area, such a homely pub and food is outstanding. The landlord is a credit to the pub industry.
A great little pub. Solid, good priced grub; a great, social and friendly landlord and a good atmosphere. They accommodated our party’s three dogs and managed very well in the kitchen to get our food out at the same time.

Very friendly atmosphere, I didn't try the food this time but will be back to try as it comes very highly recommended.
