Went there for the shanty night, had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was second to none. You can really feel the historic nature of this ancient tavern, and everyone there is most welcoming.
Came here today for lunch with my parents, mostly based on the name because I love foxes, and what a lovely pub it is! The landlord and landlady were so friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious with generous portions and excellent value for money! It has a really authentic pub feel, with a pool table, darts board and secluded outside dining/drinking area. Couldn't really ask for more and will definitely be back!
Tucked away on the edge of a housing estate you'll find this character pub steeped in history being the oldest Pub in Gosport. It has a great atmosphere and is family run by Bev & Phil. Clean facilities with an outside place to sit.
