Visited for a weekday lunch. Good food, friendly service, and a great outside patio with parasols. What more can you want on a sunny summer's day.

Superb seafood (scallops starter divine and perfect seafood paella) fantastic staff, stunning hotel, great parking at the back in beautiful Goudhurst.

Had an absolutely dreamy stay, we felt completely welcome and attended to, Scott the chef was a wonderful host, but everyone was lovely. Absolutely charming place, super comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast. We had dinner both nights and Ioved both dishes.
We live so close to the S&E yet never been. Our mistake! Went for dinner last night and it was absolutely spot on. Great food, service and beer. Well done and thank you.
The wonderful owners and staff at this great pub turned what could have been a nightmare of an evening and night into a brilliant evening. We were driving back from lunch on Sunday in thick snow, got to Goudhurst and the road conditions were so bad that we decided to stop at the Star & Eagle. All
