Excellent place to stay, and to relax. Staff go above and beyond helpful, and are so pleasant and helpful. Hoping to come back again soon for a short break!

Lovely hotel, a wee bit tired in places but clean with great staff and excellent food. A special shout out to Dennis in the bar for exceptional service and a wicked Irish coffee

Thank you for a wonderful 2 nights stay. Great service, meals and spa treatments for my 50th birthday. It was so good in fact we booked a third night with spa session, evening meal, and full itinerary for the day,
UNFORTUNATELY, somewhat unprofessionally, the room booking was cancelled by the Netherwood the next morning due to a “clerical error”, so we were left REALLY disappointed, no apology or offer of recompense or rebooking.
We had to cancel all of our plans and personal arrangement’s at our own cost so we are out of pocket.

We had a lovely 2 night stay for my wife's birthday, staying in a superior room overlooking the bay, the room was large and the bathroom was clean and recently refurbished very nice.
We had dinner in the hotel on one night which again was very good, not a good selection of beers though only lager offered. Breakfast was a buffet and on par with what we expected. The staff were all excellent.
At checkout we had an unexpected service charge added to our bill apparently for using the restaurant for dinner, being on a pre paid 2 night stay I challenged this and it was instantly removed.

A step back in time to a more sedate and refined way of life. The staff were friendly, warm and persuasive, a drink turned into a meal that was hearty and did the trick. Will return.

The Hotel is very nice. But the room we had only a double bed and as my husband is over 6ft 2 the bed was a bit small.

The room was a little tired and quite cold, the staff did provide an oil filled heater which helped. Our room was on the top floor and after a day of exploring, 3 flights of stairs is a big ask for my old legs.
The standard room didn't have a view and it was directly above the bins at the rear of the hotel. The clatter of bottles being discarded by staff was very loud and disturbed my sleep on few occasions.

Loved it . After a room change. Room 31 should be declined to to the proximity of the kitchen extractor fans. However the oak paneled reception rooms and tjier log fires and comfy couches are an exceptional place to spend a relaxing evening with a Malt whisky.

A lovely spa day location. Conspicuous period building that is elevated from the road, and this makes for an impressive approach. Lovely Spa staff. Great facilities and the treatments were of a good standard.

Afternoon tea was good, sandwiches, scones, cakes all for £21.99 fabulous views, wonderful old building with sympathetic extensions.
