• Location. Situated near the centre of Grantham. • Ambience. Reserved a table prior to arriving, but not a requirement to do so as the restaurant is very large, very well laid out with cloth napkins and lovely table clothes throughout. • Cuisine. Received a Sangria after being seated, which gave us time to view the meal, a nice short meal with some very good meals. The food was prepared quickly and a the highest of standards. • Service. The host Christine was amazing so engaging yet not overbearing, always chatting to all the customers, making everyone feel welcome and part of the family. Bonus of live music to make this the perfect evening. • Hygiene. A very clean and well-presented establishment, warm and inviting. • Chef & Staff. The chef has produced some amazing food for us this evening. The staff are very friendly and engaging, sharing stories and recommendation for your evening enjoyment. • Value for money. With the food, entertainment, and the 3 hours we spent with Lupulo the money spent was very good value. • Recommendation: I would highly and strongly recommend visit Lupulo for some Portuguese hospitality.

Awful from start to finish. When we arrived we waited ages to be asked what we would like to drink. It was a hot evening! The same can be said for ordering our food. A large group came in after us who were may be family? They had their food before we had even ordered ours! Then the lights went out where we were sitting & we sat in semi darkness! We ordered mushrooms for a starter which were swimming in oil, no garnish or accompaniment. We thought we would try the steaks, Portuguese steak was on the menu. Asked the waitress what that was & she didn’t have a clue. The cocktails arrived in tumblers! The steaks eventually turned up with floppy chips no garnish & the thinnest steak so would question what sort it was. I need to mention that the gaps in between ordering, receiving & clearing our plates was a long time. Think it took forty minutes to clear the plates from our main meal. Then they ran out of draught lager, our table was booked for 6 30! So it wasn’t later in the evening. The dessert menu came up which is limited anyway & not very inspiring. Only to be told that all that was left was one cheesecake, ice cream or two chocolate mouse. So we didn’t bother by that time we had, had enough. Strangest of all towards the end the owner came over and just looked at us & said sorry and walked away. Sorry for what? The dreadful service, sitting in the dark, the poor food & so on. It was possibly the worst place iv ever been for food so won’t be returning.
