Came here for Sunday roast. Opted for the beef and pork duo which is a little more expensive. You get plenty of food - three slices of two meats, as well as very nice seasonal veg, cauliflower cheese (not a fan), large homemade Yorkie, cabbage (not a fan), and gravy, plus some spot-on crackling. It was all cooked really nicely. My only criticism of the food was that the potatoes were not of a variety that I prefer - but that's down to me, and the pork was a little dry.
Overall though, a really good Sunday roast and I can understand where it gets its good reputation from.
The bar staff are prompt and friendly. The pub itself could do with a bit more atmosphere and ambience - possibly down to the time of day though.

Fantastic place food was amazing we went to celebrate my Grandaughters 13th birthday and then got told by my daughter we are going to be grandparents again so all in all everything was fantastic xx

Fantastic little pub. Had a family meal for my husbands 50th birthday. The staff put out my decorations and followed all of my requests. All staff were lovely and friendly and the food was delicious. First time going but it won't be the last, highly recommend.

Managed to get a table for 4 even though the place was full thanks to the great management. Staff were very quick, friendly and helpful. Food choice was excellent with a standard menu and a substantial specials board. I would thoroughly recommend going.

Had a great family meal tonight, everyone was really friendly and just the right amount of time between courses.
The food was superb and plenty of it.

My Wife and I's favourite place. Amazing food and service. Never had a bad experience. We had the Valentine's set menu last night and was absolutely superb. Could not recommend anymore.

Stopped here for lunch as was in the area and searched based on reviews. Have to say that the venue was excellent and was just as good as people described. The pub has a very cozy atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly staff. The person who served regularly checked everything was OK. The beer was excellent and food was excellent, tasty and very filling. We both had the Mac Daddy burger which was extremely tasty and well cooked, just a tad tricky to eat and required careful deconstruction. It is a shame we don't live nearer as would definitely recommend and return.

The service in this quaint pub is second to none - we eat out a lot and very rarely experience service like it! Attentive, efficient and welcoming…brilliant!

Haven’t been to eat here for years. I wasn’t disappointed. Food was delicious and such big portions. The steak was so lean and beautifully cooked. Very friendly staff and I was pleasantly surprised that one round of our drinks was free (happy hour). I will definitely come back. Well done, had a fab lunch, thank you

Wow wow wow! The food is absolutely amazing! Went for my birthday meal with family and it was the best pub food I've had in a long time! We'll definitely go back. Starters are great, cocktails are lovely and mains are full of flavour, only thing was it was quite big but I took it home! Staff are very friendly. Would like more choice of Desserts for others that were there, but I prefer savory so wasn't overly fussed!
