I took my daughter and two grandsons for lunch and we all had a great meal. A good choice of food and wines . The boys loved the giant chess in the garden too. First class food and service. Would recommend highly and will return( I had been once before for an evening meal with my husband and friends) the lovely decor is also worth a mention.

Friendly, accommodating and helpful. A great place to dine and meet up near Stansted Airport. The children could run around in the garden without upsetting other guests. No complaints about the food, but would suggest maybe more vegetables. Would definitely visit again if we get the chance.

We had the most amazing evening and James and his amazing team couldn't have done more to provide beautiful food fabulous cocktails and so much kindness well over and above anything we could have hoped for.
The atmosphere is warm friendly and super welcoming. Would recommend to anyone and will be back soon.

The Sunday roasts - one beef, one pork, was delicious. Served piping hot and the homemade dessert was equally fabulous. Service was also excellent. We are hoping to move to the area so this would become our ‘local’. The restaurant was virtually empty when we went (5pm) and no one else had come in when we left at 7pm….where is everyone? This place should be buzzing for Sunday lunch/dinner especially when the standard of food and service was so high, we can’t afford to lose lovely country pubs like this to become another residential dwelling

Popped in for a bite to eat. Was very pleasantly surprised. Service by Toby was excellent, smart, helpful. Food by Nick was divine. Would definitely recommend as a place to visit./eat.
