What an absolutely delightful delicious place. A fabulous menu of food all served on point and perfectly cooked. I find no fault other than the lack of customers! If you are looking for a place to eat you would be wise to chose Basil and Thyme. We will return soon
This was our first visit, five adults and a child. The restaurant was very comfortable, although a bit stuffy. The waiter was friendly and attentive, timely service, our food was delicious I ordered fish and chips and the fish and the batter was light and very tasty. Good portion sizes and we will definitely go back soon. Good value for money.
Our first visit today as a family. Thank you. Your waiter was amazing. So efficient and helpful. Beautiful decor and ambience. Lovely ceiling lights for anyone with neuro diversity. Calm atmosphere and sensory velvety chairs and thick carpets. Lovely menu, fantastic chef. Can't believe I've driven past so many times and not gone in. We will definitely be back. Thank you also for accommodating our requirements for a quieter table, as one of the group is autistic and 2 are deaf.

We went to Basil & Thyme for a family meal for Mums 84th. Food was fantastic, service was great nothing too much trouble. Would recommend this hidden gem a great restaurant. Thank you all at Basil & Thyme. Julie
Four of us went for a meal yesterday Easter Sunday. The beef roast with the trimmings was very nice. Staff very pleasant and very smart. The restaurant is clean , modern and relaxing. The service charge is optional.
Lovely food but no atmosphere. No other diners even at 8pm on Friday
Enjoyed a lovely lunch from a substantial menu, with excellent service. it was especially pleasant to have comfortable upholstered seats with carpeted floors, instead of the usual basic brasserie effect that has become so popular. We definitely recommend this restaurant.
Came here a few weeks ago after seeing someone on Facebook talking about it. I have to say the food was amazing, good portion sizes, great service/staff and a lovely venue. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended.
Massive portions of food just food was too salty… It’s easier to add salt rather than take it out.
Our second visit since it became the Basil and thyme and its as good as its ever been when it was the Red lion. Amazing roast beef, great service and very comfortable surroundings. Original chef Michael is still there. 👍
