The Regent

Shocked to see all these 1-star negative reviews. We were there last week and had a delicious meal, the spicy meatballs were very nice and the cottage pie was excellent, and the sponge puddings were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone, they don't deserve such bad reviews.

We came across this restaurant by chance and they managed to fit us in even though they were fully booked. There were nine of us dining so we were pleased as we hadn't booked a table. We had a positive experience. The food was delicious and the choice was really good. The kids meals were reasonable too. It's a shame quite a few of the reviews on here are negative as we had quite the opposite and enjoyed our meal out.

Glad to see the regent was still there, sadly, some of the cafés and restaurants were not open,we were made very welcome by the owner?. We had the steak pie, and thought we would order an extra portion of roast potatoes, it wasn't long before the meals arrived, then came large amount of freshly cooked vegetables including peas, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, as well as the extra roast potatoes, the food was first class, everything was really good, definitely recommend

Nice restaurant on pedestrian zone near the seafront. The food is reasonable but some of the main courses are quite expensive compared to several other restaurants nearby. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and we did not have to wait long for our food. They serve alcohol and there is a good childrens menu. Good selection of dessert (but a bit pricey). My fish and chips was very good and I would definitely eat here again when next in Gt Yarmouth.
