Myself and my family went to The Regent Restaurant , for my birthday meal. The staff were very friendly, very efficient , and eager to ensure that we were comfortable and happy with our meals . The food was 5* all freshly prepared , and when said it was hot on a heated plate. The menu is vast and caters for many tastes , and I can they that everyone of my family totally enjoyed their meals from starters , mains , through to dessert . I have always wanted to try lobster so as a birthday treat I did try lobster for the first time , I can happily say it was delicious and I’m now hooked on lobster , the steaks were cooked to perfection, and my grandchildren ordered a roast dinner which they devoured in a blink of an eye as the food was so tasty, I highly recommend this Restaurant and shall definitely be dining here again before I return home from my holiday , and again when I return next year.

Shocked to see all these 1-star negative reviews. We were there last week and had a delicious meal, the spicy meatballs were very nice and the cottage pie was excellent, and the sponge puddings were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone, they don't deserve such bad reviews.
We came across this restaurant by chance and they managed to fit us in even though they were fully booked. There were nine of us dining so we were pleased as we hadn't booked a table. We had a positive experience. The food was delicious and the choice was really good. The kids meals were reasonable too. It's a shame quite a few of the reviews on here are negative as we had quite the opposite and enjoyed our meal out.
Had dinner here and was happy with the food and service. Food was home cooked goodness and portions where good. Staff really tried hard to impress and where very helpful. Menu had everything you could want on it and was reasonably priced. Would go back and eat again
Glad to see the regent was still there, sadly, some of the cafés and restaurants were not open,we were made very welcome by the owner?. We had the steak pie, and thought we would order an extra portion of roast potatoes, it wasn't long before the meals arrived, then came large amount of freshly cooked vegetables including peas, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, as well as the extra roast potatoes, the food was first class, everything was really good, definitely recommend
This restaurant is by far the friendliest in town, everything is cooked fresh and nothing is too much trouble. It is owned and run by a family so the service is brilliant! It is really disappointing when I see complaints on here or trip advisor, (especially when offenders cant even spell properly) because it genuinely ticks all the boxes for good value, great quality and a friendly atmosphere. The range of food they offer is amazing too, from simple omelettes to pork medallions with leek sauce and mash mountain. Definitely worth a visit :)
We came upon this restaurant by accident and what a lucky find it was. I really couldn't fault anything. Amazing service, great food and reasonably priced. Our first meal out since lockdown and I couldn't think of a better place to have it. I would definitely recommend and we will return.
Nice restaurant on pedestrian zone near the seafront. The food is reasonable but some of the main courses are quite expensive compared to several other restaurants nearby. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and we did not have to wait long for our food. They serve alcohol and there is a good childrens menu. Good selection of dessert (but a bit pricey). My fish and chips was very good and I would definitely eat here again when next in Gt Yarmouth.

A very very lovely place to eat. The waitress who served me and my partner was very friendly. I had the chicken curry and my partner had the turkey roast and they were both presented very nicely and tasted amazing. 10/10 would eat here again and reccomend it to people
A family restaurant with no frills but reasonable food. Not a 5 star place but really friendly with a varied menu. The staff work really hard and are attentive. We choose this against the next door restaurant as it was buzzing, with people talking and did not look pretentious.
