Shocked to see all these 1-star negative reviews. We were there last week and had a delicious meal, the spicy meatballs were very nice and the cottage pie was excellent, and the sponge puddings were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone, they don't deserve such
We came across this restaurant by chance and they managed to fit us in even though they were fully booked. There were nine of us dining so we were pleased as we hadn't booked a table. We had a positive experience. The food was delicious and the choice was really good. The kids meals were reasonable
Had dinner here and was happy with the food and service. Food was home cooked goodness and portions where good. Staff really tried hard to impress and where very helpful. Menu had everything you could want on it and was reasonably priced. Would go back and eat again

This restaurant is by far the friendliest in town, everything is cooked fresh and nothing is too much trouble. It is owned and run by a family so the service is brilliant! It is really disappointing when I see complaints on here or trip advisor, (especially when offenders cant even spell properly) b
We came upon this restaurant by accident and what a lucky find it was. I really couldn't fault anything. Amazing service, great food and reasonably priced. Our first meal out since lockdown and I couldn't think of a better place to have it. I would definitely recommend and we will return.

A very very lovely place to eat. The waitress who served me and my partner was very friendly. I had the chicken curry and my partner had the turkey roast and they were both presented very nicely and tasted amazing. 10/10 would eat here again and reccomend it to people
A family restaurant with no frills but reasonable food. Not a 5 star place but really friendly with a varied menu. The staff work really hard and are attentive. We choose this against the next door restaurant as it was buzzing, with people talking and did not look pretentious.
Here with my friend, of course, the restaurant is not cheap, but we felt very comfortable and we ate very well, drank we had very good service, we were greeted and we were served at a very high level, we were constantly in touch with us, a person who always asked about How do we feel Is everything
Food 10/10. Beef stew and dumpling was wonderful. Comparable to how my mum makes it. I would highly recommend it. Followed by a big helping of jelly and ice-cream! Staff were friendly and attentive.

I had the mixed grill, which was comparable in quality with a Witherspoons. Girlfriend had the steak and ale pie, she northern so was raised on pies, she said it was in her top 2 pies ever!!!!
