The food was fantastic. Tasty, fresh and not dry (like most carvery’s can be!) the staff were all really nice and all very helpful even when it was packed out. Fantastic, would definitely recommend
Great place for a family meal. Service was excellent, food wonderful and atmosphere very friendly. Nice little kids playground outside too. Definitely recommend it.
We went here tonight whilst holidaying and I can honestly say it was the best carvery we've had.
We went around 5.30pm and it wasn't too busy, although by 6.30 it did seem to pick up a little with more people queuing. But even if we had gone later and had to queue it would be 100% worth it. Really good food and service 👌
Hats off to the chef who was on, and to the staff working the bar and restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly 😊
Grabbed a late dinner here on our last evening in Caister. Carvery was as you'd expect at the end of the night, not the freshest and most full of flavour after being under the heat lamps for some time, however still enjoyable. Ordered the Choc-a-Lot Challenge sundae to share with husband, we both regretted it after having just eaten a sizeable roast dinner, but it was worth it!!
We tried this place after a long day out while on holiday with kids. There was a great choice of food including the carvery. My daughter has a tomato allergy and they were sure to take note and reassure me that the utmost care would be taken with her meal. Gentleman behind the bar was so wonderfully friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. We will definitely go back next time we go on hols well priced and tasty food with the added bonus of the kids play park. Perfect!
Tried Sunday Lunch here. It is popular so give yourself time. Parking is adequate but remember it is very popular. The staff were very friendly. The place had a family atmosphere. The chef at the Carvery was very helpful and friendly. All the staff were courteous.
The Carvery was excellent. A great selection of meat and vegetables. I had a selection of the available meat and vegetables. They were very helpful and aware of food allegies, etc. Also they offered vegetarian options.
The desserts were exceedingly nice. In fact I would happily have eaten every dessert on the menu.
A lovely meal and a good experience.
I would definitely visit this restaurant/ carvery again.
Popped in for lunch had a tuna and cheese baguette and my husband had a pork with stuffing baguette both came with salad and were very tasty thou too much for me to eat I could have easily shared with someone. Very child friendly as has a lovely playground for children between 2-12 years and they do a child's menu. They have carvery every day which looked nice and yummy looking desserts, parking in site with a terrace at the front if you prefer to sit outside. Would definitely be going back there.. to try their carvery.
Love this place, wvery time we are in the area we pop in here to eat, lovely staff, quick service and the food is great for the price. Plus there is a lovely play park for the kids to run around or on a rainy day they have the inside softplay
Called in at the last minute for Sunday carvery. We were not disappointed. Only take walking on a Sunday and we had to wait for a table for about 30 mins, but not a problem as there was an indoor and outdoor play area and we were able to get a drink from the bar while we waited. Carvery was fabulous, atmosphere was great, staff were friendly and helpful and the place was spotless. 5 *
We visit the area yearly for a family holiday and we always make a point of eating here. The carvery is as you’d hope it would be with a nice selection of vegetables and due to the popularity of the place, trays are refreshed regularly, so nothing is left standing to dry out. They have a soft play area for the kids, staff are friendly and prices are reasonable.
We had the Carvery which majority was nice but the mash potato was not nice at all. It tasted quite salty and had Smash mixed in with real potato which made it taste disgusting. My granddaughter loves proper mash potato and I hate the taste of Smash and when she tasted it and made a face, I then had a taste and there was a definite taste of Smash. So that's the reason for the 4 stars.
Parking could be a bit tricky if it got quite busy.
Me, my partner and my three year old son ate here last night and we were so impressed.
We paid fifteen pounds for carvery and dessert, which includes unlimited visits to the veg counter.
The meat was lovely, I had turkey and my partner had beef, both moist and tasty. All the veg was fresh, cooked well and even homemade yorkies too.
We could then pick from pretty much the entire dessert menu and when it came my sundae was generously filled with nuts, fudge and sauce.
To top it all off, we were nervous about taking our son out to eat as he's autistic and only eats certain things. Every member of staff we spoke to was understanding, considerate and couldn't do more to help you with anything. Turns out when you get a carvery you can get a highchair bowl for your little one which is FREE and you can fill it up with all the veg as many times and even can have a few slices of meat too. Incredible!!
Happily be back when we come to visit caister again xx
