The location is a glorious. Sadly the windmill has become a national disgrace. It has been preserved for the nation and is managed by English Heratige who have allowed it to become semi derelict. It is in poor condition and has been closed to the public.

It was shut down to people because it was going through a restaurant so could not see inside but got pictures of this windmill outside of it nice and quiet place to go to if u like this sort of things

'Five stars' place *lol. But need some effort to go there from the land side :D. Easier by boat through the river I suppose. Only one-car-wide road with rail crossing gates that you need to open by yourself (need to call first) and then afterward non paved road...in the middle of nowhere. You really hoping not stranded there because rescue/road assistance will be difficult. Epic!

Moored up to stretch or legs on the way to Norwich. By coincidence it was open - it only opens on the last Sunday of every month (in summer?).
Wonderful experience, very welcoming, bought a book about the Yare and had it signed by the author (thank you Sheila).
Well worth a visit.

Beautiful scenery around here and a lovely looking windmill, the walk from great Yarmouth to here is relaxing and quiet. Just what you need if your wanting to leave the busy day to day of Norwich.theres even a.pub nearby :) :)

Pub closed and inhabited by travellers. Berney windmill has seen better days. Beware of the travellers if you're thinking of mooring there.

Moored up at the Berney Arms before crossing Braybon Water on the tide.
Unfortunately it looks like the pub has been for a little while. It’s a shame because it looks like it’s in a great spot but I guess it must be very sessional.

Although it's only possible to go inside by prior arrangement, the mill is very attractive from the outside and if you ever find yourself in this remote area, be sure to go and look at it.
